My daughter went to Fernbrook Elementary School. She was reading Harry Potter before it went mainstream. The school counselor and administration called a conference with us to discuss their concern about her being involved in witchcraft. Anything slightly left of center is intolerable for these people. I also witnessed adults (yes, adults) mocking a special needs child in a school performance. If you want nurtured, creative learning find another school.

My child's teacher, her assistants and acting principal have targeted my child, picking on my child on a daily basis, antagonizing to the point that my child had no other recourse other than physically defend himself. Once they succeeded in working him up into a rage, they suspended him illegally. He was in kindergarten. The incompetent superintendant also did not care whatsoever that this school mistreats their students. They continued to escalate the situation, making it worse. This is one of the goofiest, sweetest kids you'll ever meet. I strongly believe there is abuse, bullying and racism going on at Fernbrook Elementary. Never had so many issues until we came here. By removing my son from this school, it only took a few days to undo the damage Fernbrook caused. Keep your children safe and away from Fernbrook. This school needs to be investigated.

Unfortunately, my review will be reported as the Principal does not tolerate criticism. My special needs child was not supported at this school. My older children did not have effective teachers, one of whom could not spell and one of whom gave the students the same homework sheet every day. It was uninspired teaching. The special needs teacher was very sweet and hardworking but the special needs leadership was terrible. Our family left this school traumatized after being exposed to the politics of the Randolph school district.

My daughter just finished Kindergarten here. She couldn't read anything the summer before she started and she can read very well now. Her class only had 16 kids and Kindergarten was full day. She loved it and can't wait for first grade.
