My family and I did not like this school at all. I ended up pulling my child from it and I plan on homeschooling as long as we live here.

Bullying is rampant despite a "zero-tolerance" policy. Victims of bullying are treated as instigators and are deemed guilty, whereas there is no evidence of any repercussions or discipline for the bullies. In my opinion this is no longer a safe environment for children to learn in and based on the test scores over the last several years, students are not learning the material required compared to state standards.

my son was bullied in 1st grade, superintendent Michael Carter interrogated my son for an hour and a half, with informing me until after, called to brag about it said my son "responds better to me " so what does that mean? kinda creepy, my children will be going elsewhere

Problems all the way around! Had problems from the first day my daughter had kindergarten. Office staff had no answers to any questions. The bus driver told me he would not put his own kids on the bus he drove. My daughter was not taught math or reading. It only lasted a few months then we moved to a new district to allow her the education she needs.

The bully problem here is ignored all the way up the food chain. When our student had problems with bullies we told him to follow the handbook, not to defend himself because of the zero tolerance fighting policy. He went to teachers and aides and nothing happened! Seems that the bullies know the students can't fight back for fear of being expelled. No one cares! Do I teach my student to fight back and risk his expulsion, or tell him to just endure? No, there is a better way! Oregon allows you to pull your student and enroll them in online public school. If your child is being bullied, do what we did with this pathetic excuse for a school. FIRE THEM. Hudson Park just doesn't seem to care about the safety of their students.

Huge issue with people of color and diversity overall. Needs tolerance and diversity training. A "CELIBRATE DIVERSITY" sign in each hall would be a good start.

Nothing wrong at all with Hudson Park, it is a great school. Young parents these days expect the school to raise their kids, so when the school does a poor job of that, they complain. IF your child has basic manners, will follow rules and will mind in class, he or she will have an excellent experience here both academically and socially. IF they are bullies or are doing poorly, then mom/dad, it's your time to step up. That's a family matter. Don't blame it on the teachers, who, by the way, DON'T get paid anything near what they are worth.
