I was once physically attacked and hit in the face at this school. I got in trouble and yelled at for “cussing”. What happened to actions speak louder than words? (the student that hit me wasn’t even spoked to, and didn’t receive any punishment.) And no, this isn’t a rare experience at North Middle. This happens A LOT. It’s a sad excuse for a school.

Great teachers. Despite what these parents say, students are nice. Bullying is low and the school is very diverse.

I am now a freshman and I can say I'm sad to leave that place cause I made lots of friends that now have moved and the teachers there are amazing.

One of the worst schools my son has gone too i wish I could give it zero stars. Since the 5 days of school has started my son been continually being bullied, harassed and accused of being racist. Kids have started to physically harm him by hitting him on the head and pushing him. A certain girl in his class has accused him of being racist and calling her the N word. All because this girl decides to take his candy on his desk and try to give it to another classmate. And he tries to take it back which cause her to be dramatic and accuse him of being racist she has called him names of racial intent and threatened to harm him when he decided not to let it bother him and laughed about it. This school is a nightmare because of the fact that his father and I have gone to the school many times to complain about this harassment and nothing is ever done. This past few days of school almost being out two boys have hit him on the head and him defending his self and warning them to stop has fought with this boys. And I believe the vice principal of this school only heard of one side of the story and suspended my son of a fight that happened. I wish I could say this school is great but in my opinion they have no control of their students and encourages bullying.

TERRIBLE!I’d give 0 stars if I could. This school is terrible at communicating with parents. Teachers often don’t respond to emails. Most of my child’s teachers give book work while they play on their phones and/or goof off with other kids in the clsss that they know outside of school. My other child is on an existing IEP and we’ve had to jump through hoops forwards, backwards and sideways to get anything done, then it still takes forever. So much inappropriate activity that teachers overlook and ignore. When enrolling we were told one thing then once school started it was a different story. Seriously considering pulling my children from this school all together.

Slandering of parents, by Teachers! Poor understanding, and listening behavior from and with the teachers/counselors and principles at North Hardin Middle School. Unresolved bullying, even after repetitive awareness to staff by students as well as parents., results is bullying That never comes to an end. This isnt even a beginning list of problems arising at this school.

The school has come along way since the last reviews. A new princple this year and minor changes to other staff have greatly improved the school. My daughter went all 3 years there and she has no regrets.
