Great and military friendly school. Don’t let this reviews decide for you. Take a tour in the school.

Well......we are new to the school this year and have been to other elementary schools in Hardin County when were stationed here the last time. So far, I would say this school makes me nervous. When we walked in the building, it smelled. We didnt know anyone (obviously) and other than the last outside telling us what teacher our daughter had, wasnt very inviting. We saw staff, but no warm welcomes or happy faces. When we met her teacher, she wasnt very enthusiastic either. She pretty much stood at her desk and answered my questions. I am a parent that likes strong communication and she said everything goes through class dojo. I'm familiar with class dojo because I've worked in elementary schools before that used it. If it's used right, its not that bad, but again we will see. Also, with us being new, she was not on their bus roster and it just so happen the bus driver for our route wasnt there tonight. And that's what they told me at first. They did finally help us, but it took me prying to get some answers. So overall, I'm not too happy with the school so far. Our daughter also is a child that struggles in school and I've read all the reviews, so I hope shes not one that gets left behind because teachers don't want to actively do their job right. I'll be posting again at the end of the year. But I hope the school takes time to read parent comments and make adjustments.

I am so thankful we have finally made it out of there. I feel like my children will have a better start in a new county.

Great school regardless of what its rating may be I would send my kids here over any FT Knox school. As the teachers care and out in the effort for the kids every day. Don't judge it so quickly!!

My daughter attended this school from 1st-5th grade. The last few year she was there I was a volunteer in the classroom and with field trips. I heard students bully the teachers, by being verbally abusive, etc. and the teacher did nothing. I saw students hitting others and there were no consequences. The school is focused on teaching the curriculum for the state testing, not on character development. Their motto is being "Positive, prepared and productive" however with out consequences the students just shrug it off. They have an :In school suspension room", for problem students. Without consequences, removing the difficult student from the class gives the teacher a much needed reprieve but the student isn't getting the discipline. The principle was helpful when I approached her with my concerns. However the bullying continued and no apology was given, leaving my daughter feeling worthless.

Great school! When my child started attending he was at a 3rd grade level and he was in 5th grade. They helped him and got him to where he needed to be. Now he is in middle school doing excellent . My daughter is currently there and her teacher Ms. Paulsen is great. The whole staff there is wonderful! Highly recommended.

the school was great!! i had 2 children that went to this school for 2nd and 3rd grade. Ms. Spann was excellent, she was always willing to help my boys learn and challenge themselves. The boys were always happy and excited to go to school and the principal was always assisting in the receiving and departing children from school. I can honestly say they cared about my childrens development.
