Amazing! St. James is dedicated to student success and faith values. Students are challenged, loved, supported, and encouraged in a focused learning environment to reach for the stars and become their best selves. Have been really pleased with the texts, the teachers, the students, and the results.

Horrible learning environment! No sympathy or remember rse from an educated yet highly bias and incompetent staff! DOES NOT compare to a public school education. Which is sad considering how much they cost. They belittle and degrade children who are not sedentary or stupid! Waste of money and the church blames other businesses for their mistakes.....steer clear for you and your child's sake! Even education assistance from outside resources couldn't understand how incompetent they were even with help

I am an alumni. And now my kids are students. They are miles ahead of their public school counterparts. They learn in a positive Christ centered environment.

I wished I had listened to the other parents that told me their horror stories about how the principal only cares about the big donors, and not your children’s education. The school board knows they have policy issues and have debated for nine months to change their policies that they know are bad ones, but have still not acted on them. Don’t go to the board members with concerns about the principal, because you will hear “I have doubts and concerns about him as well but he is the principal and we have to follow his lead”! Don’t think for one minute they care about your children or education because if you make the principal mad they all will come after you to the point the hold special meets and make a ton of accusations that they can’t prove. Then when you ask them for the proof you have to ask everyday for two weeks and then they will make it up in hopes of pacifying you. The teachers will do whatever the principal and board ask them to do even if they know that it is a flat out lie, because they want to keep their job. Believe me stay away from this school it will only cause you a bunch of headaches! Save your money and send your kids to public school they will get a better education, as we have found out over the past few months

Absolutely one of the worst we have experienced so far! They accepted us in under the promise they would do anything they could for our special needs student....however we feel they only wanted our money and did nothing positive for our child.

This school is a hidden gem in Quincy. They not only teach great Christian values, but they also teach respect. They are rewarded for compliments they receive and the children take pride in that. The older children help the younger with activities and that shows both ages how to be a good influence. They are learning things that the public school have decided was not necessary anymore. The smaller class sizes helps to make sure everyone is on the same page. My child was surpassing his goal and was able to work on additional assignments, much like an advanced class so he was not bored. The teachers are great and they love their students as do the rest of the staff. If you are a parent who enjoys being involved you have plenty of opportunity here. The Parent Teacher League is always happy to see new faces wanting to be informed and helping. You are able to come eat lunch with your children when you please. They do have a wonderful security system in plan which makes me feel very safe that my children are not to fear just anyone entering their school. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a Christian school that is other than Catholic call and set up a time to talk to the staff. I know people who had children struggling in the public school system and they moved half way through the school year and graduated on honor roll. It is truely a blessing and will forever have a piece of my heart.
