As a parent, I have experienced spiritual growth thanks to the school's parent prayer group and chapels. It plays a significant role in shaping my kids' spiritual lives and building their character.

I am an alumn and I enjoyed learning in this school, due to the fact that it is a small school, I was able to bond and create friendships that have lasted for years, however, it was not worth my while, and I would have been better off at my zone school. The social experience was fun, but the academics of the school were not worth it.

The culture of the school is very friendly and inviting. They have several events throughout the year where parents can partake and meet the staff and administrators. Love that the head of the school is very approachable sweet individual that is present in all of the school events and gatherings.

My child has been in Flushing Christian School since kindergarden and has enjoyed attending this school. The teachers and faculty members care about the students and their growth. This school has provided my child credible education to prepare for high school.

My children both go to Flushing Christian School. The school has a unique set of teachers who not only teach the material of every subject, but they also care about each child development. Because the size class is not too big, the teacher is able to give attention if someone needs extra help, as well as encourage the rest to reach academic excellence. Starting each day with a bible lesson and being in a Christian school, helps the kids to build character and wisdom that they can apply in their lives. I would highly recommend this great school.

God led us to Flushing Christian School for my child three years ago. It has been a huge blessing and exactly what my child needed. She has blossomed from being very shy, to becoming more confident, and more social. Being in an environment with teachers who genuinely love and care for her has helped her in these areas. As a parent I wanted a school that is academically excellent, and spiritually strong, and I also wanted a school where she would feel safe and loved so that she could thrive. FCS has exceeded all these and so much more. My daughter loves FCS so much, she tells me she wishes they had a highschool and college so she can keep going there! When I leave her at FCS I know that she is well cared for, and that the teachers and staff are godly Christians who are serving the children because they love the children and they love Jesus. The teachers work with each child to help them achieve their best. When my daughter was struggling with school work she got the extra help she needed. She is also learning about our Christian faith and there’s chapel each week. The chapel is fun and interactive. Parents are welcome to come to the weekly chapel service. She’s been learning these past three years about loving God and loving others, honoring your parents, being honest, and so much more that’s been building her character. At FCS I know my child is getting the best education and learning experience you can find in New York. I have only one regret, that when my son was younger that we didn’t know about FCS, so he went to a different private school. For parents reading the reviews, my advice would be to go check out the school while school is in session and see for yourself. And go to the Open House FCS has each year in January. And pray if this is the school God wants your child to go to. I am grateful God led us to FCS for my daughter.

My child came to FCS from a public school and I see a huge difference in him since coming to this school. Academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually it has been a great experience so far. We look forward to staying at this school till 8th grade. Only wish is that they also had high school. The leadership is caring, compassionate and approachable. The teachers and staff truly love the children and want them to excel not only in school but in life. It is a wonderful school.

God is first in everything they do. My son is hyper and sometimes need help focusing. His kindergarten teacher Mrs Harmon who's worked for the school for decades prayed with me before we met. Prayed for wisdom and instruction on how we both can work together to help my son, she prayed for my home and family. He needed extra help learning how to read and write and the music teacher volunteers to take him out of the class a few times a week to practice in these areas. They are a loving family at this school with traditional values, teaching about the Lord and living it. FIS is a priceless gem in NYC anD I am beyond blessed to see how my son is developing there academically, socially and my number 1 which is spiritually.

Although academically ahead it did not show the quality in teachers and students I was looking for. I pulled my child out immediately after I saw the incompetence in the school

Our child was previously enrolled in two different Christian schools, and we learned not all are the same. While one had strengths in academics, it failed tremendously in the spiritual realm. The other, that gave emphasis to learning the Bible, lacked the academic side. FCS has managed to excel on both fronts. We are ecstatic to place our child in a school where not only is he being challenged academically & led by teachers experienced in their field, but also a place where pointing students toward Christ and the Gospel is of the utmost importance. You will not find a more caring principal or staff; people who are ALWAYS willing to take your calls or meet with you immediately if necessary. The small classroom size allows teachers to focus in on student s weaknesses, while encouraging their individual strengths. We have seen a confidence instilled in our child that we know is a direct result of his wonderful teachers. A former shy introvert, he now sees himself as a leader. We are blessed to have found FCS & highly recommend it to all looking for a school where their child will thrive academically and be in a place of high morals and integrity.

I am the parent of three children who all attended and graduated from Flushing Christian School. They each received a quality education and were well prepared to successfully compete in the public school arena. They have each gone on to higher education and are successful. Flushing Christian School is a place where children are loved and nurtured by a loving staff who seek to help each child be all he/she can be.

I've gone to private school all my life, but in the few months that I've been working here I can see the difference between FCS and other schools. Its nurturing environment and attentive staff really allow the students to not only to create a close bond with one another, but also with God. I really enjoy working at this school and it deserves all the blessings possible.

FCS is more than a school it is a ministry of love. The teachers, faculty and staff poor their heart and souls into teaching the students. I you take a look t the school's website and read the bio's you will see all of them could make a lot more money at more affluent private schools or in the public school system but they are at FCS believing that it is where GODhas placed them. The curriculum is too notch but with the love and support I the teacher and staff most chdren will rise to the occasion and receive an excellent education in an environment where their character can be molded for service to CHRIST.

Flushing Christian School is fully-accredited and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. FCS is warm, nurturing, multi-cultural, and exhibits a family-like atmosphere. The small class sizes allow teachers to provide individualized attention for each student. The students have opportunities for organic, hands-on learning experiences that a larger classroom setting would not offer. Many of our graduates go on to attend some of New York City s best public and private high schools: such as Bronx Science, Stuyvesant, Bard High School and Early College, to name a few. Our alumni have pursued degrees in law, in the medical field, to go on to earn their master s and even a PhD. Our students have become pastors, wall-street executives, teachers and policemen. FCS provides a solid foundation for success!

Excellent curriculum, students are well prepared academically in Math, Science, English, Music, foreign language, sign language is also taught along with moral grounding through religion and a healthy relationship with God. Small classes makes sure students get the attention they need. The diverse population gives children the opportunity to appreciate other cultures. Great principal and staff.

Flushing Christian School has been a God send to my family and to many others that I know of. The teachers are dedicated to helping students academically and spiritually. Many of them stay after school for extra help or give up their lunch period to work with students. They care about the entire person and treat them with dignity and respect. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a great foundation and high standards.
