We are going to send our child to another school next year. Our child was brutally assaulted by an older child, repeatedly kicked in the back causing injury. The pricinpal felt an appropriate punishment was to just have the attacker miss recess. Police report was filed, Police said we had every right to press assault charges. We sent email to principal cc'ing Superintendent. Principal then lied to us and said she was going to suspend the attacker, yet our spies in the school informed us that she has done nothing. The principal of this school wiilNOT protect your children. Recommend you choose one of the other schools at least until they remove the current principal. The teachers are about the only thing good in the school. Even they complain about the principal.

We removed both our children from this school after our complaint regarding bullying went unresolved and resulted in my daughter being made out to be the aggressor. How, exactly, is my daughter the aggressor if it’s her lunch getting taken and thrown to the floor or if it’s she being chased around a playground with her bully saying she wishes she were dead? Since she was one of the very few children of color in this school, it led me to question whether that could be a factor as well, as most children of color in Queen Creek are attending the charter schools instead of Queen Creek Unified on account of similar experiences.

We are new to the area and I am VERY impressed with this school. I struggled with moving but the school is night and day improvement from previous school in another state.

Jack Barnes Elementary is providing an outstanding, quality education for my son. The teachers are dedicated and create a warm and nurturing environment for the students to learn in. They push children towards success and encourage good character. There is a great small town feel about the school and we immediately felt welcome when we moved here.
