They don’t care about us students they just want money. There was a literally a fight a no one did anything. Worst school I went to glad I change schools

Poughkeepsie High School has challenges but it is improving. Teachers are committed. New Administration is great. I am pleased with the changes and look forward to a bright future.

Poughkeepsie High School is not great, but you make the most of what you have. If students utilize the resources given to them, they can go far. Security here is a joke and the administration is no better. However, most teachers really put effort into helping their students. Food is horrible to decent at times, while there is almost always a fight everyday. Depending on the classes you take, students usually have a hard time being intellectually stimulated, the regular classes are just too easy. Although, the AP classes have wonderful teachers. In conclusion, PHS is not an A+ school, it's more like a C-.

PHS IS A WONDERFUL SCHOOL WHO CARES FOR THEIR STUDENTS AND IS ALWAYS HANDING OUT AMAZING OPPURTUNITIES. ITS NOT WHERE YOU, ITS WHAT YOU GO THERE AND DO. POUGHKEEPSIE HAVE HAD STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO ELITE COLLEGES WITH FULLRIDES, FOR EXAMPLE MYSELF.

Poughkeepsie High School is a great school with many intelligent and talented students. The teachers and staff always work hard to do everything they can in helping students fit into the school environment, and enjoy every moment of it. I really enjoy attending PHS, and I really appreciate what everyone especially the principle has done to make my learning experience amazing.
