Our entire family has a deep love for Montclair. This school community embraced us at the beginning and has never stopped. My husband was involved with the PTO for 2 years and I was involved in Art Literacy and many other programs over the years. We invested our time and finances in to Montclair, as we felt we were sending our kids to a private school. Overall, Montclair was the right K-5 school for our entire family and we were sad to grow out of it.

The school community is small and well established. Parents and staff are friendly and inclusive l, proving to a welcoming environment for all. We love this school and believe it’s a great fit for many families.

I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to send both of my children to this school. It is like a little hidden jewel. Much like a private school, it is small and very community oriented. It welcomes newcomers and they quickly become part of the Montclair "family". There are parent volunteers all over the school at any given time. It is refreshing to see how appreciative the staff is of their volunteers. I also like how open they are to communication. I love this school and my experience has been wonderful!

Beyond disappointing to our student and family! We looked for the best school in the area we chose to live in (we moved here from out of state) and thought this was it...sadly, that wasn’t the experience we had hoped for.

Our daughter is in kindergarten at Montclair. We are absolutely thrilled with the wonderful experience we've had so far! Our daughter loves school, and her teacher is fabulous. The principal knows all the children and is very visible and active in the classrooms. There's tons of parental involvement and volunteer opportunities, and I always feel welcome to visit or help out with classroom activities. We were actually considering moving to NE PDX but decided to stay in Garden Home partially because of the excellent quality of Montclair for our daughter and two sons (in the future when they are older). I can't say enough great things!

Montclair Elementary School is an amazing school. We feel very lucky to live so close to such a wonderful school. The parents are encouraged to be involved and the teachers really care and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs.

Montclair is a public school that would certainly be worth paying for! We feel very fortunate to have our children attend Montclair. Mrs. Bailey, the principal, knows every child and runs a magnificently tight organization. Just don't be late, Mrs. Bailey is watching!
