My son has attended to Norcrest since kindergarten, based on our experience, I can say with no doubt that its teachers are just beyond expectations. They are amazing teachers, who are deeply committed to transmitting a high-level teaching, also, they are amazing human beings, compassionate and kind. As parent I've felt supported by every teacher during these years, including in complex situations that arose, and shared some amazing and easy solutions to apply, each one as an opportunity to learn, to have more experience, and to become a better person and student. I've felt confident to bring to his teachers my concerns, and I had received unexpected positive feedbacks. But it's not only about the teachers, all the staff of this school is committed in sharing their best with everyone around, making possible to create a harmony and healthy environment. I was born abroad, so for me, it was beyond my thoughts when discover how Norcrest, as a public school, has so much to offer. In their curriculum, one can find the primary subjects as math, grammar, social science, specials like music, science, Spanish, art, p.e., etc., but also, robotics club, debate club, theatre, chorus, morning news broadcasting, and much more. They also provide after school program with a variety of activities and resources. One of the things that had most impressed me was the “Gifted and Talented Program”, for me this actually proves how much care they take in every student and their capabilities.Family activities are also part of the year program, encouraging families and school staff to meet and enjoy together, strengthening relationships in the community. My son is in 4G and he loves to be at Norcrest 100%. For sure, we will miss this community when the time to go to middle school comes.

Fantastic experience with Ms. Williams as kindergarten teacher, I know there are others. Less enthusiasm regarding our experience with the administrative staff. The front office person is just about useless and EXTREMELY slow to any request. Seems like she simply doesn't care and has zero personality or courtesy.

My child was informed she was failing in October & basically set her up for the whole school year to not even try. Then i was informed child would receive specialized testing to check for learning issues or possibly needing a more advanced class THESE TEST NEVER HAPPENED! I did my best at home to help but this school truly has let my child fall threw the cracks. Weather a teacher issue or the schools governing body, my child should have gotten the help she needed. School has had 3 principles in last 4 years we've been here & just seems school ethics have stopped caring. This saddens me as we leave & hope to find better a school but I have to do what's best for my child

Everyone (staff) at school work very hard, but if we as parents get more involved, everything would be even better!

I am giving my school 4 stars because the teachers are simply amazing! My children are safe and happy. Big thank you to Ms. VanHoose, Mrs. Sicard, Mr. Maringola, Mrs. Martin, Ms. Dobrin, Ms. Delfavero, Ms. Ruggieri, Mrs. Lysengen, and Mrs. Carrier! These teachers are great which is why we have stayed, but the office staff are completely incompetent. The 5th star would be there if it weren't for the current principal and her front office staff. This principal is fake and when you listen to her speak at assemblies it seems like she doesn't want to be there. The children don't seem to respect her, and when I asked my girls they say it's because "all the kids know they can do whatever they want!" Norcrest has had many principal changes in the last 10 years- hopefully this one goes soon too. The quality of lunch this year is deplorable. I hope the grant of over $2 million will change the quality of the school or we will switch to private school, even if it means a bank loan.

Was a great school four years ago and has gone downhill every year since. The teachers are great which is why we have stayed but the office staff is very rude and they're all completely incompetent. The new principal has implemented strict uniform policy so we are happy with that change. When the boarders expanded two years ago I expected chaos and large class sizes and even went with the flow when after two months they switched my kids' class to keep legal class size. Unfortunately they weren't prepared this year either for the large amount of students and the fact we went from a "B' school to a "D" in under four years is scary. The quality of lunch this year is deplorable. I hope the grant of over $2 million will change the quality of the school or we will switch to private school, even if it means a bank loan.

This is a great school, the best in the east side of Pompano area. This is our 4th yr at Norcrest and I couldn't be happier. The staff really cares about the children. They have a lot of activities around campus too.

This is a GREAT school. We are in our second year at Norcrest. I have nothing but positive things to say about this school. My child is excelling here. I can not figure out for the life of me why this school is rated a "4". Shame on you greatschools.com. Norcrest is BY FAR the BEST public elementary in the area. Do a little more research.

First year at Norcrest and first week of school from what I have seen its a great school. Everything seems so controlled and safety seems to the #1priority!! So glad we made the switch from a private school. So far so good...

I absolutely love Norcrest & so does my daughter, who is in first grade there. She attended Wilton Manors Elementary for Kindergarten. Her reading has improved 100% as well as her math & science. She is much more well behaved since she actually likes her school & her teacher is outstanding. The parent involvement in this school, compared to others, is outstanding. I have nothing but great things to say about Norcrest!

I am very happy with NORCREST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. My daughter attended this school from Kindergarten and this is her last year; she will begin 5th Grade in a few days. The principal is wonderful. The teachers are all very nice and mostly all of them do an excellent job with the children, they are extremely qualified and very caring. They all work together to make sure they are improving year after year. After all the remodeling this school is absolutely beautiful and the classrooms have state of the art technology and computers to help the children learn. We will miss Norcrest Elementary when our daughter graduates, therefore we wish to thank the staff and all the teachers for a great job done.. Sincerely, Ms. Santoni
