Memorial Middle is a grade A school. There has always been a rivalry between Ocean Road and Nellie F. Bennett, so when the two clashed together in the 6th grade, the teachers did an excellent job of introducing the two groups to each other. When I went to Memorial, I had a disliking for any Nellie Bennett students, but I then realized with the help of a great teacher (who I believe still works there!) that we can all be friends. The over-all environment screams friendly, the staff is well-educated and prepared to handle any situation. Mr. Zambito, teacher of the 7th grade science, he, at first, scared my class with his mountains of homework. I can still hear the sound of him proclaiming, "Let's get rolling." But in the end, we all seemed to add a bit of maturity and self-esteem to ourselves because we knew that we had beat the school year. The principal and vice-principals always had a smile on their face. I surely do know that my children love the school and the teachers. It's probably the best in the state!

We moved to this beautiful area 2 years ago. We are very impressed with Memorial Middle school. The guidance department did a wonderful job in helping our son transition from a very small (17 in his class) previous school to a larger environment. The teachers are interested and very impressive. We left what we thought were wonderful schools and found better! We are extremely pleased with Memorial Middle school and the entire Point Pleasant School District.
