I found this school to be interested in its students being successful in both academics, as well as, being compassionate, decent human beings.

I researched all the schools in the area and, academically, this one is by far the best. Very small classes. Half are rich kids from the district but the other half are the brightest of the bright, admitted after extensive testing. Very family oriented. The parent group is very inviting and active but not overbearing like at the private school down the road. The kids blow the top off standardized tests. A really great place to learn. No clue what the bad reviews are about... Probably just parents of kids who can't keep up.

I have attended Bay Head School for almost nine years, and I will graduate in June. Bay Head School's teachers make learning so much more than it already is by connecting with the students, and showing that they care. Even after being damaged after Superstorm Sandy, the teachers made sure our grades stayed up, and made sure that every child was alright after their homes or belongings were destroyed by the storm. No child who has attemded this school would be the same going anywhere else.

Sometimes it takes tough circumstances to show you the importance of the things that have been around you all along. The past academic year was most definitely impacted by "Sandy", yet school was in session 2 weeks after the storm in a neighboring town, then back in Bay Head by December. Without missing a beat the staff continued to strive for academic excellence while expertly navigating and meeting the emotional needs of this varied age group during the aftermath of a natural disaster. Resilience and flexibility were demonstrated by staff and students each day. Students first sought familiarity and comfort, then thrived and learned skills that will last a lifetime.

The Bay Head School is Great!, The teachers, secretary, nurse and principal are professional and provide an extremely nurturing environment which facilitates the learning process at the school. The education that the children receive is fantastic. Spanish education begins in kindergartens nod continues through eight grade. No other public school in the area offers this. There is also sea week where the children learn about the ocean and its environments while enjoyed sailing on the Barneget Bay. Theatre week is also offered to allow childeren to express themselves articially. In addition to the fine academics and extra curricular events the school has a agreat support from the parent teacher association. In addition to public funding the reason for fundraiser thought the year is to provide the children with all of the extra-curricular activities at no cost to parent (including field trips for all grades includes overnight trips for the older grades)The teachers, principal and support staff are commited to the children and the quest for always impriving the education process.I forgot the mention that from grade 6th on received 1:1mac laptops. Wonderful school, town and people!!!

What a disappointment! This is by far the worst school our family has ever encountered, from the top down. The principal and teachers are arrogant and clueless, lack insight with regard to the students. It is definitely NOT a caring school and NOT a nurturing school. They freely inconvenience school families but don't you even dream of inconveniencing them! Small percentage of students live in Bay Head year-round, it mostly seems to service students from Brick and transient students who temporarily rent in Bay Head. It does not even offer the benefit of being a true community school, like some nearby schools. Bay Head is a cute town but the school does not measure up. Definitely a public school, don't let the school's attempted comparisons to a private school fool you. They are NOT private school quality.. at all. Like many schools, they are big on fund raisers for the school. We had high hopes for this school but it turned out to be a real disappointment. Bay Head School is NOT a great school!
