I have had 3 kids go through Mohr - my youngest is in Kg now. In my 8 years at Mohr, I’ve seen consistent improvements in areas that needed it. The school has always been strong on academics and social learning. The teaching staff is warm and nurturing while still holding students to high standards. Academic rigor is present but does not overtake the importance of character and community building. My kids learned their 3 B’s from the very beginning and would happily run home with their Kindness tickets when they were rewarded for positive behavior. The overall community is diverse and welcoming. My kids have interacted and befriended children from all over the globe. The parent community is also close, coming together to support events like a Multi-cultural fair, fundraiser for the library, and engage in gardening and planting activities around campus.During covid, we have been blessed to be kept completely informed as things have changed. The principal and vice principal, along with the teachers have done their very best to communicate plans and allow us to have a voice in how our kids are impacted. During remote learning, my kids were still challenged and received a high quality learning experience, despite the difficulties. The PTA also kept the community together by arranging many rewarding at-home experiences via material pickups - holiday goody bags, planting activities, art projects, you name it, we did it!I can’t say enough good things about Mohr!

Their VP is not patient at all. She did not even try to help you. She just does not want to be bothered.

I have never written a review for anything thus far, but what we experienced at this school has forced me to share our grievances. We have recently moved to Pleasanton. We enrolled our child in the kindergarten program at Mohr, given that our child was enrolled in the joint TK/K program in his previous school. Our child was happily enrolled, no questions asked. We were pleasantly surprised as we were expecting some kind of assessment for our child before he get enrolled. Our son, who is already very good in math and reading, also settled pretty well in to the new school environment. The teacher also acknowledged that our child was doing quite well in math and reading and was ahead of the grade as far as these skills were concerned. One month down the line, we hear from the Principle that apparently our child was not supposed to be in K, and that they cannot continue him in the program? We were aghast. The reason being that they got report from our son's old school informing that our child was in the TK portion of the TK/K program and that he does not meet the Sept 1st deadline. Our son missed the deadline by ~25 days. The principle with a straight face informed us that they made a mistake in enrolling our child in the first place I ask how an apology is sufficient? Our child spend a month in a new school getting accustomed to a new environment and when he was beginning to feel comfortable.. you throw the child out!!! This is quite un American I should say...We spoke with the Principle to explain to us how is it that our child was perfectly suited to K program until they got the news that he is no longer suited. Through no fault of our child he has suffered and is now quite upset that he cannot continue his schooling with his new friends. We are at lost to explain what happened to him at school.Simply because of misunderstanding on their part, our child is now left in limbo!!

Wow. I am surprised the school is still open.. They used to pretend my son got lost or they don't know who or where he is....The principal looked like she is going for an audition somewhere

Mohr is amazing. My son has been there for five years and all his teachers have been amazing. The administration is great also, they are friendly and helpful in the front office. We love Mohr elementary.

This is a horrible school. I saw such reviews and put my son there and he had a horrible experience. The teachers are bad and have no control over students. Some bully was pouring gallons of water on my son and inspite of repeated complaints, the teacher used to BS that he had accidents. The syllabus was nothing to write home about either... Bad!!!!

This is truly an excellent school. Wonderful teachers and diverse student body. The principal is unapproachable, intimidates and at times bully the children.

No way, its worst. Improvement must. What is the point otherwise? Get more real, kindly.
