Transferring from PMS and it was a great decision. Wish we would have done it earlier. My son said the teachers are much nicer here and he feels there is mutual respect between most kids and most teachers. He trusts the administration more at this school. The friends my son has made here in 8th grade are fabulous! Too many sketchy kids at his old school.

6th and 7th grades were actually pretty good, no complaints but 8th/2017-2018 grade much worse in all areas

My two kids love this school. Most of the teachers grew up locally and decided to make working at this school the priority of their life. The teachers strongly identify with the school and community. The teachers are very proud of the school and ask a lot of themselves and of their students. This is the school that parents' want for their children.

Great community with above average teachers (except for a few notable exceptions). But this school has very poor support for students with learning disabilities. They give your three choices: fully special ed with no track to graduation, fully mainstream with no support, or a "co-taught classroom" in which they literally throw all these kids into one classroom with a newbie teacher and a newbie resource specialist, then tell those teachers they have to use only the core curriculum and are not allowed to provide individualized academic instruction, even when it is in the IEP! And they honestly don't see the problem with this. Tragic and fraudulent misuse of government funds. If you send your kid to this school, expect to spend money on tutoring.

Excellent school. I don't know what the couple of other posts are about. I have had an excellent experience with both the teachers and the admin. I had a concern about a child in the school and asked to meet with Mrs. Conde. She not only met and listened to the concerns but took them very seriously and resolved the issue. My child is very happy in this school. They work the kids hard but it helps them get ready for high school.

Awful leadership needs a new administration running the school. Mr Domer has no idea how to be a productive VP.

It is our first year at Hart and I am most impressed with Music/Band Director Mr. A and math teacher Mr. Polon. I am only putting them first because these two people are really extraordinary. However the other teachers my son had are just as amazing - Ms. Smith for LA, Ms. Yang for Science, Ms. Jane Marker for Art, Ms. Boni for Home economics, Ms. Ottaway for french/spanish. Very nice scholl and environment. The only negative feedback i have is related to annual registration process - the line to get all the forms is tremendous, it took me 2 hours to complete registration and get my son's schedule.... there must be a better way to handle it?

This school has a great divide within it's staff and admin. Admin likes to sweep things under the rug. They have some great teachers there who do not get the support they need and have some teachers who should go find another line of work for all our childrens sake.

its ok. My daughter was bullied and I think no child should have to go through that but otherwise the staff were great but the principal didn't do a great amount of help in mu daughter situation
