My son has been at Strandwood Elementary for 3 years and has thrived there thanks to great and caring teachers.

My daughter has been a victim of bullying on multiple occasions even after it has been brought to the attention of the teacher and the principal. It has been a distraction to her studies and a challenge in her social growth, obviously the safety and well being of the students is not a top priority at this school. After reading other reviews I can see that strandwood has gone down hill over the past few years

Next month our daughter will finish 5th grade at this school. She will join her two brothers as having gone K-5 at this incredible school over the past 10 years! From 2004 until now, our kids received such an incredible experience and education. The principal, Mrs. Kim, is awesome, and a treasure to the school. The vast majority of the teachers that my 3 kids had throughout K-5 were great. The parent community is unmatched. Our boys went on to thrive at PHMS, and one is now at College Park HS, and doing great as a freshman. I could not have asked for a better elementary school experience for my 3 children. My wife, who volunteered teaching FAME, Nutcracker, serving on PTA, and endless other activities would probably agree that Strandwood provided a network of friends and a community for our family.

I was so blessed to have one of my sons at this great on wonderful school for 2 years and my other son for 1 year. It was the best school experience they and I have had ever. Ms schuster is the best 2nd grade teacher ever she brought my 2nd grader from almost getting held back in 1st grade to him super excelling during the whole year, and at the end of the year he ended up with 16 A's. Ms Kim has got to be the bestest principle ever. Just love this school so much and wish my boys could have continued to go there
