It's a good school. A lot of great teachers.

This school is an abomination to all schools. Quite Frankly im surprised they’re still open. I went here as well as my kids and there has been no development. I’m hoping this new principal can change this

I am in 7th grade, and I have no core teacher. We have been in school since August 10th. We have had constant subs with nearly no change. It is extremely frustrating and the subs managing our grades are giving us frivolous assignments with little to no learning. Seriously, I used to love this school. I love the kids and I love the teachers, but the lack of learning and teachers takes a large toll on my opinion.

I feel like the teachers here try to act like they care but they really don't. they could care less about your overall well-being. a lot of teachers are just straight-up EXTREMELY rude, and the yard duties too. the yard duties SCREAM at you for the littlest wrong-doing as if we are little kindergarteners. the homework is just awful, we get projects shoved up our butts every single day it seems, and we can barely catch a break. a lot of the staff is really rude as well. when I was in elementary, I loved learning. I loved math. I had so much potential and this school absolutely destroyed every single bit of everything I had left. please don't send your kids here, I beg you.

This school's students are extremely racist and homophobic.

We have had 2 children go through SMS and could not be happier. Highly recommend these teachers and staff.

i used to like this school but not anymore cause like one of the core teachers is ableist (calling a kid “special ed”, saying a kid has Tourette’s when he obviously didn’t) plus she’s said multiple times before that she only likes pretty people n stuff plus there’s a lot of bullying and the yard duties don’t do anything about it. plus they don’t even help students at this school for anything :// also they assign a bunch of assignments like everyday and it’s a lot of stress they don’t even care if you have family issues at home or anything they just expect you to finish a project in one day no matter what (coming from experience) i honestly don’t feel safe at this school anymore cause there’s a bunch of school fights n stuff it’s annoying how teachers don’t do anything about it

My daughter's love for both English and Science was destroyed at this school by two horrible and just mean teachers. She had tested as reading at an 11th grade level by 3rd grade and was told by a teacher at this school that a book would be too hard for her. She was made to feel stupid. This teacher seriously had no idea what she was doing. Some people just don't belong around our kids. I would never recommend this school to anyone.

The school just assigns way too much homework and just causes anxiety among all the students with all the tests, projects, and homework due each day. It's obvious the teachers favorite certain students and dislike others.

I attended Sequoia Middle School all three years and I am so happy I did. The students were mostly very kind and welcoming, the teachers were all fantastic and got all students engaged, and the activities such as leadership, drama, and their many diverse clubs were so much fun and worth doing. Each student strives to excel, and each teacher supports them in doing so. I love how they would reward good grades with free lunches and homework passes! I miss it so much! If you are currently attending Sequoia, make the most of it because that experience is one of a kind!

I go to this school as a sixth grader and even though I am new, I feel like I fit in because there is no bullying and everyone, including the eighth graders are friendly.

It was so hard for me to choose which middle i wanted to go to back when i was in 5th grade. Until then I got accepted in Sequoia and i wasn't sure how I was suppose to feel. On my first day, i found a few of my friends there but I was sad that most of my friends weren't there though I made new friends and no bullies. The bulletin told me about the events at school and my teachers were nice. I rarely ever see bullies in the school but I still see gossipers.
