Centennial Elementary is a great school. Our kids are in 1st Grade and 2nd Grade. The teachers have been wonderful and very involved in the kids learning. The atmosphere is very positive and the staff genuinely cares for the children. Some teachers even take the time to come to the kids sporting events on the weekend. It is a very diverse community among the staff and students. Our children are learning to work with kids from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I have loved getting to know the families that go to Centennial. It has been such a great experience. We moved to this community specifically for the school and have not been disappointed!!

Great school in an affluent part of West Plano, surrounded by million dollars homes and few middle class apartments White and Asian dominant PTA and school administration is fully white though Little to no diversity in PTA

Diversity, inclusion, openness, quality of teachers, school staff: all exceeds expectations. Great elementary school in the Plano district.

If you look at test scores alone, definitively "yes". If you take the whole child into consideration, they are beat down from constant barrage of rules and shaming. This place needs a culture overhaul and should focus on getting back to basics. It's unfortunate that parents have to sacrifice quality and positive time weekly with their kids to fit the rigid expectations of the requirements outside of class.

It’s a good school for the academically gifted traditional learner. Take the staff with a grain of salt, they seem to be harsh to everyone.

Our family’s experience at Centennial has been a positive one. Being new to the school and relatively new to Plano, we were expecting some tough times, but our girls thrived from the get go. While staff are definitely not overly friendly, they made efforts to get to know the kids, their temperaments, what they respond to, etc., while remaining relatively impartial. We had been to another Plano school with a great reputation, but the tone was completely different.

I had high expectations for this school from all of the positive reviews about it but it has been a horrible experience. An experience I certainly won't forget. Some of these teachers need guidance and some need to be taught what it is to be a teacher of young minds.

Really a Great School ; good teachers, accommodating and very understanding staff. We had just moved to Plano from New Jersey and my husband's friend had recommended this area as a good place for families. My daughter had some health problems but Mr. Jason Myatt, the Principal of Centennial Elementary wonderfully supported us to fit in some make-shift arrangements to make school experience easier and comfortable for my child. The academic performance of this school is very high and there's a 'healthy mix' of all all types of ethnicity .

We moved from Boston,ma to Texas 6 months ago with our 5 years old daughter and found this school to be wonderful. They made her feel right at home the teachers and the entire staff are very warm. Accademically speaking I have seeing such a big jump with my daughter coming from a private school setting to public I was nervous but she now reads and doing wonderful. This was a great choice her kindergarden teachers loves the kids and she actually cried when she was home sick and not able to go to school..It's amazing.

We transferred from Huffman Elementary in October 2010. Our son flourishes at Centennial. This is a MUCH better school then Huffman. We did not like the way things were handled at Huffman by the principal and the mean vice-principal. We are so glad our son is finally in a caring and nurturing school. He is going into 5th grade. We are sad that Jason Myatt is leaving the school, he was a good principal. We can only hope the next principal is as caring and kind as he was.

This is wonderful school. We came here from San Diego and a school district and school that we were very happy with this school how ever blows that school out of the water. Their communication is incredible. The teachers are amazing and really want the best for you kids and do everything they can to help them succeed. The counselor is amazing too. I couldn't be happier.
