The schooling experience here entirely depends on the teacher your child ends up with. There are some great teachers who go out of their way to plan fun activities and outings with their class and many others who just do the bare minimum when it comes to teaching and planning other activities. This is unfair given that all the kids attend the same public school system and yet the opportunities provided are not equal. When it comes to extra curriculars , the school checks the box with some basic stuff. There is no performing arts/theatre which is an integral part of many upper elementary schools in New Jersey. There is some focus on sports but very basic. Overall the school can do more given it's in a high performing district within New Jersey.

I love this school! The teachers have been great. It is a healthy learning environment and So encouraging of the students.

The kids can be mean, admin and teachers show favoritism. If they like you, your child will have a great experience. Academically solid but not special.

This school is very good the facilities are clean and kids have a fresh new look 2 technology. LETS GO EAGLES (school mascot)

We moved into the US last year and my son was in 5th grade. There were several elements of 'NEW' from the country to township to school to friends to curricular and co-curricular activities. Needless to say he was super anxious on what to expect from the school. I had my share as well for I wanted my son to feel integrated with the school, the system and friends. The school, teachers and friends were way too awesome to plan, monitor and establish a seamless integration for the new joiners like my son and get the best of them in their horizons that include acads, sports and music interests besides others.. Feel good to have been part of the community and MS and now at CMS..

Millstone River School is Amazing school like a New Parent i desire a high education for my girl and in millstone school i found all that i expected.

Well Millstone is so amazing I almost don't have any words to explain how amazing it is! Millstone river school won the most peaceful school award in 2013! Every kid in millstone learns in a steady pace and the teachers are so fun! They make the kids want to learn!

Thrilled with this school. Moved from another state and have found in Millstone River a school that recognizes that teachers are at their best when teach in the way that highlights their own talents. School celebrates the unique qualities of each teacher and uses it to match each kid's learning needs with a classroom environment that will help them thrive. Guidance counselor, orchestra teachers, and art teachers are particular stand-outs!
