I left the public school system which is considered to be a good school for SMI. It has been such a warm, friendly environment where it feels like a family for the kids. I love that they are taught Christian values and also challenged in a way that I believe will prepare them for life and a workload for highschool which I didn't feel they got at public schools. The teachers have been very warm and friendly. Lastly I love the school spirit and that the upper and lower classmates attend eachothers games ans events as a buddy system to cheer eachother on. We love being Spartans!

We have had a truly wonderful experience at St. Mary Immaculate Parish School over the last three years. My daughter receives a great, directed and patient faith based education. She comes home happy and engaged. Her school test scores continue to improve thanks to his amazing small group teacher classroom environment. She loves her extracurricular classes such as Art, Music and PE. The staff and administrators are fantastic! The school staff and main office keeps us parents informed and involved! We toured other private schools in the area and felt that SMI had the most to offer and was the best school for our daughter - we are confident we made the best decision. Thank you SMI!

We have had a horrible experience with our young children at this school. I would recommend looking elsewhere for Catholic education, if possible. The principal is repeatedly deceitful to parents and often rude as she covers for her inability to fix BIG issues with teachers and students. Communication is very limited unless you are parent buddies with the administrators. Younger kids in preK and kindergarten are being bullied as the staff and administrators cannot seem to control the behavior of the students. The first few months of attending seemed to be good for our family until we tried meeting the parents that are fake and unwelcoming. These snobby parents are involved in Home and School as well as the Athletic Board so they have soooo much control over what happens and how their children get favored in every way. I know that no school is perfect and that all have issues, but this school is really in need of help. This is not what I had hoped for in a Catholic School. The pastor who supposedly is in charge of the school does not take time to meet with parents or address issues going on in the school. He has all the power but simply does not care. It's so unfortunate!

Sending our children here has been one of the best decisions we made regarding their education and faith development. They have excelled from year to year and the teachers are constantly finding ways to challenge them. We cannot say enough good things about the administration, teachers and support staff. They truly value each child and willingly work together with their families to facilitate growth in both faith and academics. SMI has welcomed us from the beginning and treated us like family.

Garbage school run by Liberals and attended by elitist snobs.

We will be leaving this school because it has changed is the past few years for the worse. Sadly, the pastor and administrators have not been concerned with the needs of parents and their students. Rather than solve problems, the parents are labeled as a “problem” and are left without the support they need and the overall morale and enthusiasm is getting lost. My daughter’s friend was bullied by other kids in the bathroom last year and it’s just unacceptable that it wasn’t stopped. The students deserve to be safe and happy.

Not a good experience at this school. One kid graduated but deeply disappointed in the leaders as my other kids are at this school

Horrible school for children with differences! Unfortunately, we have a long uphill battle to correct all the damage this school caused my child.

My children have been attending SMI for 9 years now (beginning in Preschool) and my wife and I have been so pleased with both the education it provides but also the Catholic faith environment that nurtures them daily. When it came time to send them to SMI I was concerned with the long list of policies we received as I believed there might be a focus on the wrong things but the teachers have been outstanding and frankly the parent community just as great. It really is like a family with parents working hand in hand with their children's school to provide better learning opportunities not only during the school day but in numerous sports and faith based extracurricular activities. Our children have flourished at SMI and we have been blessed to be part of this parish.

SMI has been great for our children. There are many opportunities for the students including sports, clubs, and musical at the end of the year. We are happy we sent our children here. SMI was a great investment in our children's education.

My family loves St. Mary Immaculate. My cousins kids all loved it, my nephews attend it currently with my two kids. We have had no complaints about any aspect. Sending our kids here is a struggle for us but feel it's the best thing we can do for them. I only hope I will be able to help out at the school more in the coming years.

We've been very happy with this school and will be sending our second child there next year. To address the negative reviews - the fundraising is absolutely necessary due to the fact that this is not a public school. The parish drops a hefty sum of money to keep the school running in addition to the tuition collected. There's also the problem of families not paying on time or not paying at all. I feel that the level of education my child has received has been far and away better than what she would have received from the public schools in Plainfield. Just reading the reviews of those schools will tell you that. Is it easy? No. There's some work involved vs. just sending your kids to public school and never needing to interact with the school yourself. But, in my mind, it's absolutely worth it. A child's educational foundation is everything.

My children have been attending SMI for a few years and they love it. I love the teachers, principal and vice principal. I like that everyone is involved in the kids education including the parents.Sometimes it may feel like alot of work but the outcome has been great. It's a team effort.
