Excellent teachers. Students receive more attention and better class instruction than in previous experience with schools in the inland empire.

The principal, Dr. Avery, only listens if it is something she wants to hear. She is so flakey. Untrustworthy.

Recently took my child out of this school. I am not going into detail, the Teachers are fabulous, that is the only plus.

Very organized, the teachers make the most of their time at school which limits homework time. Numerous teachers have won teacher of the month awards for the Victorvalley. In regards to the principle , she seems to deal with each situation individually and gather the facts before addressing the problem.

When I attended this school over over 20 years ago, it was ranked very high state and country wide, and by the looks of the ranking here it has fallen tremendously. The avid program brings a level of redundancy that only inhibits faster learners. Furthermore, the principal both acts and dresses inappropriately, and I have personally heard from several staff members of demeaning actions towards them. Hopefully the district will send her packing soon, and allow the school to return to the level it was once at.

Horrible! This school was once great and is no longer! My son doesn't feel safe here, when he goes to the principal or counselor for help he is basically called a liar! He found scissors in the sand box! He got into a fist fight defecting himself and not one adult saw. He goes for help and is shot down and belittled being told his story is wrong. He is told no bullying goes on here and that is so wrong! Bullying is swept under the rug to make the school look better. I can't believe what this school has become!

Their test scores are very low. Your child will definitely not get a good education at Pinon Hills. All of the pictures they post of students, staff, and of course, the principal on Facebook doesn't change the fact that any child attending this facility is being robbed of a good education. It's your typical small town school where professionalism and confidentiality are non existent. You'd be better off homeschooling your child. The gossiping and bullying that takes place there is off the charts. I find the new principal annoying, obnoxious, and extremely snobby and controlling. What a poor example for the students.

I think this school is better then what choices we have. As far as the new Principal, she is awesome!. I saw the other parent reviews and I must say I'm appalled. She is not rude or unprofessional. If anything she gets herself very involved with the kids taking part in what ever event there is for the kids. After all, if a kid is not comfortable with a teacher or it's principal then the child will be unhappy. I think her approach is awesome. As mush as liked the previous teacher, I think she has opened a door way for anyone to be comfortable with themselves in such a way that wasn't done before her arrival..The school was drab and plan and not much in the creative decorating of the school. Now it's full of life and fun, to which the kids love. Schools have rules and if because an incident didn't go your way and you as a parent were the rude one, then that's on you not the principal!!!!...

Wow, I feel better after reading these comments. I have had numerous encounters with the new principal and she is rude, she also dresses very unprofessional. I must add that she trash talks parents and doesn't handle issues concerning children being bullied AT ALL! She will sweep everything under the rug and hope it disappears. I really hope that this principal gets let go so that this school can go back to what it once was!!! I refuse to send my Children back here next year.

This school used to be one of the best elementary schools in the snowline school district. Since the new principal my child has experienced bullying. My child doesn't want to go to school and has asked numerous times if we can move! I do not agree with the principles tactic skills regarding the bullying. My child never has homework. I have never heard of no spelling words for a spelling test either. I feel my child's education is suffering tremendously. So much so I am either going to move, go to Heritage or home school. Good luck to the children of the future in this school!

Pinon hills elementary has some great teachers and some not so great. The principal is new and has a lot to learn. Many problems this year which the principal tried to hide by stopping volunteers, locking the door to classrooms and closing the blinds on the class window. Very uncomfortable and suspicious. The class size is 30 plus. The school needs improvement in their attention to bullying policies. My child suffered with stomach aches due to bullying and we had to move elsewhere.

My child has continued to excel when transferred to PHE. The staff are helpful & friendly. School is well equipped. We would enjoy more activities or sports/clubs for the younger ages, but funds & lack of interest seem to be the issue. Also, the city needs to add a larger parking lot & widen the road. Pick up after school is sometimes ridiculous. Other than that...it's a great school & highly recommended. **A BELL SCHEDULE ONLINE WOULD BE HELPFUL**
