This school absolutely sucks and I’m not saying this cause I was a student but I’m saying this out of experience, staff does not care about your child’s safety and let rapist, racism and sexism, death threats, discrimination and abuse slide, if your child goes here think of their safety your leaving your child alone with a bunch of people who do not care and will let your child be in danger, staff will just laugh in your face if you mention being suicidal. Once again think of your child’s safety.

Kid was failing until we moved and he started at this school This school has an excellent football coach and their sports program really got my son involved and wanting to go to college

Best high school in the high desertGreat academics and wonderful athletics programs.Teachers really care. Made learning easy.Gang violence at this school does not exist. And the high school is in a rural community with low crime. This is a safe place for your kids to go to school.

I now have 3 children attending this school, with so many programs available to the students, there is something to do for every child. this school has a strong sense of community, and there is no school I would rather send my children to. for that matter there is no district I would rather be in than Snowline Unified.

I taught students with special needs. The school would constantly refer to the kids as not our kids. They were rude and once told me to carry my wheelchair bound student up the stairs because the ADA accessible elevator was broken. Staff is very clicky. Campus police was ineffective and nonchalant about property theft and damage on campus.

Well Serrano used to be #3 in California 4 years ago now this year it''s down to #458. Honestly it's bad now I do not even want to be at this school anymore I'm half way through high school at Serrano and the only good thing it has is sports at this point. It really has gone down the drain go there for a day and ask about the new rules that the school lies about some of there rules being a state requirement when it really isn't. Kids are stressed like crazy so it's created more fights and lower scores. Sexual harassment goes on, drugs, and bullying, I know because so stuff has happened to me and I've witnessed it and the school police is a joke they literally don't really do anything except write up speeding tickets every day. Lots of students want to drop out plus I recently talked to a counselor about a university that I'm aiming for and they put me down telling me that I can only go to VVC or other schools in the high desert I was very discouraged and going to my dream University is the only thing keeping me in school and they still didn't accept it. The school sucks and has many problems and honestly need to do something about it because if you don't "fit in" your doomed. DO NOT send your children to Serrano if they don't do sports and aren't AP students or very social. Trust me they will have a really tough 4 years and will not enjoy there high school years.

I feel like an outsider most of the time. If you don't fit in or if you are different, it's like people ignore you. My education is good here. I just wish I didn't have to deal with the extra.

Good school. "The ladies " in the front office , the worst people skills I've seen in a school. Wow, can't believe they get paid for this type of behavior. What ever the case is, they really show how unhappy they are working at this school .

Serrano is a great school, it's too bad the Attendence office staff is so terrible. These ladies are so rude to parents. Pinon Mesa office staff is much more proffessional. Serrano office staff is so unapproachable I hate even going in there.

I've reached at Serrano high school for years and every single day it was worse. The staff would pick on the students, yes the staff!! And n words were dropped on several occasions. Also students always complained about the learning and help they were receiving. Please do not send your child here. Anything is better than this atrocious district!

Great school. I really loved the staff and teachers there. some of them still remain as some of my favorite people; words can't express how much they have shaped my life and inspired me to be a better person. However, there was heavy racism there at Serrano. From White to Mexican to Black, they would pick on Asian kids from time to time, throwing racial slurs and threatening them without thinking. Serrano is a great school and can offer a relatively good quality of education, but if you are an Asian American, expect a great deal of hostility and racism.

I love Serrano High School. I am currently attending as a sophomore/junior and I can honestly say that I am having the best time here. Although most of the rules and teachers could be modified or taken out, it is overall the best school in the high desert.

The last comment I saw opened with. This is a great s hoop depending on the student. Don't agree with the great school part. I do agree that your experience depends on the student. If you don't fit into some stereo typical mold of kid. You are chastised, bullied, picked on and made to feel so low that you no longer enjoy school. The schools approach to our particular situation was to quickly sign the student out of the school and forget it happened. There are cameras and monitors. Nothing is picked up. And in a school where popularity seems to be key. As well as an immediate fear of being put down as well. Students witness and do nothing. Bullying is a major issue in American schools. In the adult world tripping someone and throwing things at them while taunting can be a jailable offense. People choose to ignore instead of getting involved. We r losing our kids. I for one am tired of it. Our kids deserve to go to school unafraid. They should embrace it. Not fear it. Harsher laws should implemented for bullies. It is no longer a matter of kids are kids. We all go through it.

This school is a great school, depending on the student. If you try to succeed and work with the staff, they are amazing and will really go out of their way to help you. If you don't really care and just don't try because it's more fun to mess around, the staff just doesn't like to put more attention on you because there are students who actually want to learn. I am a student who wants to learn and succeed. I take a lot of advanced classes, but also a couple of regular classes. In both, the teachers are more than willing to help.

I attended this school for 3 years, I graduated last year, and I am currently in college. The school is very good and the teachers do their best to educate the students. The only downside I noted was some students doing drugs, some graffiti, and one or two fights. Other than that, I loved the school and I miss being there with my friends.
