I am a huge fan of Pineville. Our kids had been homeschooled for a couple of years and then wanted to make the switch. We had just moved into the area and reached out to Mr. French, the principal. He quickly offered us a personalized tour, arranged for testing to ensure proper grade placement of our children, and answered all the questions we had. Our kids are finishing their second year at Pineville and have loved it. From their classroom teachers to specials to extracurriculars like Battle of the Books and the school play, the kids have had an incredible opportunity to grow and learn with other enthusiastic students. I’d also like to point out that the school prioritizes communication, and I have never felt out of the loop. Teachers and administrators are always quick to reply to any questions we have, but we rarely have questions because they keep us so well informed. It’s also a great school to volunteer. I typically have Fridays off, so take advantage of the opportunities to chaperone field trips, help with book fair, field day, EOG proctoring, and more. Finally, it’s a community and family-focused school. There are often events at the school to engage parents and students, including science night, a curriculum night, movie night, and frequent All Pro Dads breakfasts for kids and fathers/father figures. Dads even show up early once a month to open car doors for car riders and encourage kids to have a great day.We also really appreciate how active Mr. French is in knowing and engaging with all the students and teachers. It’s obvious that his leadership and involvement set the tone for what it means to be a Pineville Smiler. This is a really special school and we’re grateful it’s our neighborhood school!

I love this school. At one point I had three of my lil ones in Pineville Elementary. Now I have just two. The atmosphere was calm and sweet, everyone knows everyone. The way the office is set up that you can’t get in the building with out going through a couple obstacles. I love it. Staff is strict about the kids. They do not play, they treat your kids like their own. One yr I had a teacher call me when my lil one missed school, that’s love. She didn’t have to do that. Mr. French is one of kind. This guy is so active in everything from drop off in the morning to cafeteria check in and being active, creating memories with these kids. A pie to the face is every kids dream to do to their principal and he does it as an incentive. He doesn’t try stopping how to get the kids involved in their education and character development! I never want to move because I don’t know if I’ll find another public school like this gem.

We have had our son at Pineville Elementary School for two years now and we absolutely love it. We are sending our daughter to Kindergarten in the Fall and could not be happier to have this school as our neighborhood school. Mr. French is so engaged as a principal. We see him frequently at events and helping with morning drop-off. Both of our son's teachers have been excellent at communicating with us. I also volunteer as a reading buddy, and it makes my heart happy when I walk into the school with my son, and everyone knows him by name. It is truly a gem - with a smalltown, community feel right next to a major metro area. They are always hosting events - movie nights, science night, gingerbread building. They look for ways to come around the students who need extra support with reading programs, breakfast events and more. I highly recommend this school and encourage anyone who has Pineville Elementary as an option to choose it!

I have been pleasantly surprised with our experience at Pineville Elementary. CMS gets a bad rap but the faculty is AMAZING and they do a really great job supporting individual student needs and engaging with the community. I would highly recommend the school to anyone moving to the area.

My son has been going to Pineville Elem for the past 3 years. He loves it. His teachers have been so knowledgeable, experienced, and kind. The school does a great job of challenging him academically and fostering a sense of community and belonging. You’re always greeted with friendly admin and respectful communication. There is also a feeling that the teachers genuinely enjoy working there which I’ve observed during carpool as teachers give handshakes to kids and address them by their names. It’s an amazing comfort to drop off my child knowing he’s safe and happy!

We have had such a wonderful, positive experience here. Principal French is on the ball, and is a wonderful communicator. Even during the pandemic, the teachers and after school teachers created a safe and loving environment.

I have a kindergartner at Pineville Elementary and could not be more pleased. This is such a sweet school with high quality teachers and caring, supportive staff. My child is growing by leaps and bounds in this environment. The leadership team is incredibly engaged and organized, and there is involvement from community partners as well.

Excellent. The small town community feel and genuine concern for our children's education and well being is palpable. From traditional learning to implementing sensory rooms...the faculty and staff work incredibly hard to get parents involved and be active participants in their child's education.

This is our first year - kindergarten. We love teachers and support staff. Mrs. Latzos is doing an awesome job with her children in the classroom. She has individual approach to each child. My son loves to come to school. He progressed so much during the first two quarters. Very good experience all together.

I know of two teachers who worked at this school who were bullied and harassed by the principal. Principal does not support teachers.

Pineville Elementary has been a great school for my child. They have great resources for children to learn. My child was working ahead of his class and they have everything he needs to work at his level. The teachers are VERY good. They are kind and very knowledgable. The Principal works very hard for the kids. I have seen him tutor some of the kids! This school is very balanced socioeconomically, racially, and has many nationalities. It is a great school. So glad we moved to Pineville.

Teachers are extremely caring and have a huger interest in your child's success. In 2 years, we have had great interactions in the classroom as well as dialog. Which is key to your child's success.Administration could work on being less of a friend to the kids and take more interest in parents. Be less status quo and more status GO!

Pineville has a great team of teachers and administration! I HAVE had issues and when I spoke to teacher/ principal it was taken care of immediately. The teachers are very caring and they also want your child to learn while having fun. This year we got a new school and with the new school came new things like technology!!! My daughter amazes me with her knowledge of the tech world. Pineville is great, come visit us!!! :)

Be prepared for a fight everyday w/ the staff/administration if you have special needs children. Awful leadership.

Administration does not listen to parents. They are dismissive and unprofessional. The principle is awful to deal with and his staff isn't much better. I would never subject my child to attending this poor excuse for a school for another year.

As a parent who could not be happier with Pineville Elementary School, I felt compelled to share my experience with others. From the moment we stepped foot into this school, we were greeted warmly and could feel the caring & compassion the teachers and leaders have for both the students and parents. Rarely do you find a group of individuals who are so passionate about what they do and to making the educations and school a better place for all. While I believe strongly that there are always varying opinions, I can say that I have to disagree that the leaders and teachers do not listen to parents-I have found it to be quite the opposite. To say that this is a "poor school with students who come in struggling" is a large generalization & one that is not a true reflection of the communities & students that feed into PES. The diversity of students (both ethnically & socioeconomic) is what makes this school unique. It is also one of the things I like most about it. Before passing on PES based on online comments & EOG scores, I encourage all parents to do what we did-visit the school, meet the leaders, & then make an informed decision. I
