Hate this school. Bullying, terrible faculty, expired food the list goes on

Went to this school for 8 years and for most of my time there I was bullied to the extreme. A lot of the teachers there were very mean and caused me anxiety. It got so bad that I missed many days because it wasn’t worth coming there. If you are thinking about sending your kid to this school don’t.

The school does not care about special needs students and allows them to be bullied with no consequences. Kids are bullied and assaulted in class, on the playground, in the hallways, and nothing is done. Racial bullying is an epidemic here. There’s no education happening. The abysmal test scores speak for themselves. The teachers have to spend all their time managing problem students and never actually teach. The special education classes are fine, but admin does everything possible to keep kids out of them. They do not care about your kids and they pressure teachers to lie to say the students don’t need help.Oh and the lunches are so disgusting that my kids will refuse to eat all day.

Teachers talk down on the children, and don’t let them speak. Kids are bullied and not taught appropriately. You can’t speak to the principal. Ashley Grant should be fired cause the school is run by the teachers NOT by Ashley. Teachers aren’t held accountable for their actions when it comes to educating they seem to do what ever they want. I would highly recommend NOT going to this school.

This is my son's first year at Trailside, he is a 6th grader. I must admit I am very disappointed at this point ! From day 1 my son has been harrassed & bullied. I notified Teacher...no response. I called Principal, it was over a week before she called back. Thought everything was ok, nope ! Started up even worse, they have taken to telling my son they are going to hurt me. Sent a letter to the Principsl, she passed situation to Vice-Prinicapal. Was told boy was talked to, she would have Vice-p. Call no call to date. 8/26/22 they were trying to fight my son in class ! Then tried to follow him home ! I am mad now !! I have contacted Police, State Senators and a few others... this has to stop and is going to STOP! I will protect my son If any parent is going through this...stand up and fight back. I send my child to school for a education...not to be afraid to come to school and get a education ! They picked the wrong child !

Im astound by the way this schools behavior was on handling the lunches brought in by parents, My niece attends this school and her lunch was not given to her once it was dropped off in office! Some how it was “forgotten” to be given to her! And the miss information of parents not allowed to bring in lunches! Get it together office staff! Would not rate a star but it’s required.

My experience has been motivating to get involved and support the school in any way I can.

All of my children have gone to Trailside and it has been a very positive experience. We have been part of this school since the very first day and met a number of wonderful caring teachers and administrators.

This school is the worst school I have ever seen in my life. The leadership is horrible and this is why the teachers are out of control! A school should focus on children first and not anything else! Leadership here is the worst I have seen! Arizona has to do better to hold leadership accountable to teach children! This is not college or a party! Leadership is not here to talk about the weekend! Do what you are being laid to do, if you don't like it then leave! You are not doing our children any justice! Ridiculous!

My child was bullied for two years and called racial names nothing was done about it. The teacher dress coded her even when she had the correct clothing on. He would comment on her pants anyway. Mr. Griffin is horrible and he yells at the kids in their face. Some of the staff take their frustration on the kids if you address concerns.

Trailside Point is AWESOME! The school was just awarded an A+ SCHOOL IN ARIZONA!!! What strides this school has accomplished with excellent staff, teachers, parents and students!! You will want to check out Trailside Point Elementary School, now voted an A+ School in Arizona. The A+ School of Excellence Program is a comprehensive school assessment program that celebrates outstanding schools and brings to light the positive stories and successes happening in public schools every day. My kids have been at Trailside for 6 years. I have seen huge improvements since our current principal has been there. The teachers are amazing and the office staff is so friendly and helpful. Volunteers have made a difference too. We recently had to move but we stayed in the neighborhood so the kids could stay in this school.
