Would drive past it, thinking it's just another office building; however, a small school focused on student achievement awaits inside. The teaching staff from kindergarten all the way through middle school know all of the students. Small class sizes allow for teachers to get to know the students and give more individual attention and be able to make sure all students reach their potential. Principal knows all of the students and cares about making sure the students know that they are cared for. At Amerischools your student is more than just a number to everyone who has the pleasure of caring for your student.

AmeriSchools Academy, a charter system of schools, has readied me in multiple ways for high school. One way this school has prepared me was by teaching me to get used to doing things myself. In high school you can not rely on anyone, but yourself, to achieve the goals you have set, whether it is getting a good grade on your test or making a sports team. You have to put in the work yourself. An example of the way AmeriSchools Academy has taught me this was by the clubs/programs they have at the school. CIMI (Catalina Island Marine Institute Club) and NJHS (National Junior Honors Society) were two main privileges to be apart of, although, they were not going to be handed to me. In order to be apart of them, I had to do many things such as; keeping my grades at an exceptional percentage, having a good behavioral report, sacrificing free time to do things like fundraising and community service, etc. A large amount of hard work was required and as I go through high school today, I keep that lesson with me, to do things myself while putting my 110% effort into everything that I do.

I loved working with the other teachers. They are extremely positive, and are dedicated to providing the best education for their students. You cannot always find a staff that works this well together, and it was a blessing to meet these other teachers. The kids are wonderful, and are taught scholarly behaviors to enforce what skills are needed to be successful in education, as well as adulthood. Consequences are meant for reflection on the student's behavior, and their behavior policy is very direct to prevent favoritism and unfair consequences. They use a positive behavior support instead of a more punishment-based system. Overall, a great school with lots of caring people. I will definitely miss the staff and kids! *Just a note...the previous review is also me. Somehow the review timed out on me!

Moved to Central PHX, my 8 yr old was anxious about starting 3 rd grade at a different school. I did my research of schools in the area. I found AmeriSchools thru greatchools.com.I read the reviews & looked at the test stats, it showed improvement year after year. I visited the school and spoke to the new principal, she was very kind and answered my questions. After completing her 3rd grade, I can't say how happy I am with my choice. The classes are small, teachers are easy to reach via email,txt or phone, even after school hours. The staff is great, very caring and involved in their students education. My daughter loves the programs available to students: Art, sports clubs, theater, yoga, field trips and even cooking! Affordable after school care provided thru PAC. The staff is consistent in bringing the families together thru movie nights and family dinner nights at the school. My 9 yr old is excited for the new school year to start and be part of the BULLDOG Family! I recommend Amerischools as a choice if you are looking for a new school in the Central Phoenix Ares. Amerischools is a Small School with a BIG heart!

My daughter transferred here 3 years ago from another public school and I'm so glad she did. This year she started Middle School and has 3 wonderful teachers. The school is skill based learning, so children work at their own pace and level. Her teachers are always looking for new ways to keep the kids engaged and they do an excellent job. I also like the small class sizes so each child gets the individual attention they need. My daughter continues to thrive and looks forward to going to school every day. I highly recommend Amerischools Academy.

MY SON HAS BEEN AT AMERISCHOOLS SINCE KINDERGARDEN TILL THEN AND NOW MY LITTLE GIRL STARTED KINDERGARDEN ITS VERY EXCITED TO KNOW THERES TEACHERS THAT CARE ABOUT OUR KIDS EDUCATION. I HOPE TO CONTINUE MY KIDS EDUCATION AT= AMERISCHOOLS ACADEMY AWESOME COMMUNICATION WITH PRINCIPAL AND TEACHERS :)

AmeriSchools has great teachers, but it does not seem to have a good control on principals. There is a new principal this year and she is equally inexperienced as the last one. My child will not be returning next year. A school needs a good leader. They are lucky to have an A rated school. Teachers at this school are the leaders but need extra guidance and time to communicate and take kids on field trips.

My family moved from South Chandler to Phoenix last year and I wanted to find a school that would help my son and be an easy transition on him. I have to say that I am NOT disappointed with Amerischools Academy! He has had a few struggles in math but his teacher Mrs. Starkins was amazing and did one on one work with him after school as well as kept me updated. they also have a chess team which is a HUGE bonus for him and he even won tournaments against other schools. My daughter will be starting Kindergarden here and I have no doubt that she will be in great hands with the staff and teachers.

This is a terrific school to work at. The staff is wonderful and the kids are great. I enjoy teaching there because of the freedom I have to be creative in my lesson planning. There is no better choice for a charter school than AmeriSchools. The students are able to learn and grow in a nurturing, supportive, positive atmosphere. They receive a well-rounded education especially with the technology, specials classes, and extra curricular activities that are available. I highly recommend AmeriSchools! - JG

I truly love teaching at Amerischools Academy - Camelback. I enjoy the flexibility of the curriculum and the encouragement to try new teaching strategies. All of the staff at Amerischools are dedicated and talented individuals that truly care about each student. The students that attend Amerischools contribute to an amazingly supportive atmosphere. The freedom to create a variety of clubs and events for students allows me to share even more of my own hobbies and knowledge with students.

AmeriSchools has really nice people, I enjoy movie night, the special showcase and that is about it. Students in elementary only have worksheets to do everyday. Children do not always excel with worksheets. I f your child understands math, reading and writing I reccomenend this school, but if you have a struggling elementary student this is not a good school. You will be asked to leave your child behind a grade, because they do not have a math specialist, and in small classes cannot help your child.

I have 3 students attending AmeriSchools Academy. The staff is friendly and always look for the best interest of my children. They have a variety of clubs and sports that my kids enjoy. I also enjoy the opportunities for families to come together such as movie night. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to other families.

Amerischools is an amazing school with staff that truly cares for the individual success of every child. Our family has truly been blessed with the teachers and staff there at AmeriSchools. All of our children find themselves not only exceeding academically, but enriched beyond measure with a positive peer culture that has been nurtured by this phenomenal group of teachers. Their philosophies on student engagement and community learning have truly helped to inspire my children along with others to become star students. Teaching to the whole child is not only a motto they live by, but evident in the success of my children.

I have three grandchildren who attend AmeriSchools Academy. One of my granddaughters has been going there since she was 5 years old, and she's 13 now. She does really great there and has made the National Junior Honor Society for the last three years. She's active in volleyball, bicycle club, and many other extra curricular activities that they offer. The school has done an amazing job of connecting children to something larger than themselves. My grandchildren are always excited about the next day at school and what new adventure may be in store for them.

I have the great pleasure of working at Amerischools Camelback Campus as their interim principal. I have been a elementary school principal for 19 years at various campuses in the Phoenix area. These students are tremendous. They love to learn, they are respectful and they value their teachers expertise. What more can you ask for.

My Son is yet to start this school.So not sure about the Environment or culture yet, however the best part about this school is that they have an early exception criteria (which most of the schools don't have in Phoenix region) and my son born in September got an admission. I am very thankful to them for saving my Kids precious one year of education.

We were looking for a charter school that gave personal attention to our child. With only 18 children in the classroom, individual attention was still not possible. The class went through 3 teachers in one year, one of which was not a certified elementary teacher, which I know is permissible, but she was unprepared for the classroom. I was also disappointed in the level of art education, the emphasis on discipline instead of learning, and the lack of creativity on behalf of the teachers. Classrooms need to have order, but when the only thing my child reported to me about the day was the new "rule" to follow or that now my child was partnered and the partners were responsible for keeping each other in line, its too bad. Needless to say, my child will not be returning for another year. THe principal was new the year my child attended and her lack of connection with the parents and with keeping us informed was sad. With such a small school, my hopes for creativity, meeting needs of the individual student, and great communication with parents was my expectation. Amerischool did not meet my expectations.

This school was great for my older son who loves to read and is very academic. He had a great (1st year teacher) Mrs. Salle. She loved the kids and loved the class. But for my son who still gets up and moves around and can only concentrate when he is moving, he had a hard time. Over 90% of the year he came home with red for "Being out of his seat" "Calling out answers". For a boy that is full of life these traits are hard to learn. We worked with him at home, had an IEP done (that came back normal) and still with everyone involved they were unable to keep him in his room and learning. They would move him from class to class and sometimes put him in a small room right behind the administrators. I would only go back a second year because Mrs. Salle will be the teacher for my little one. Also the dean of students was very helpful, though in the end he could not help in this situation either.
