My child was chronically bullied at this school in both 6th and 7th grade to the point of needing professional mental health help. The school did not notice she was going into depressive states but would tell us things like “if she doesn’t want to do it we can’t make her” after my child when from a very good student to completely withdrawing. When she told them she was being bullied they did nothing but when she defended herself they suspended her. They would not help us with homework assignments as far as giving us lists of what she owed we were always referred to websites and they were very cold. When I explained I worked 40 hours a week and would like a simpler way to get her assignments as I didn’t have the time to learn new apps they even ignored my emails. My daughter mentioned two kids were telling her to kill herself over and over and the teacher set her next to these kids. She asked to be moved and the teacher told her “it’s fine, they’ll leave you alone now that they’re next to friends”. Highly would not recommend this school. Some of the teachers are amazing but even with amazing teachers, I’d the administration is bad, it reflects on the whole school.

Have had one go through here and a second one currently enrolled. Both kids have been happy here. Most teachers have been engaging and encouraging.

Worst school my son has been to! Over half of the teachers don't even teach! This is a warning don't go here! At the beginning my sons teachers said they would put up one project at a time. Now here we are with 4 big projects assigned and due on the same day with very little time to do them.

My son is finishing up 8th grade at FMS. He is gifted and even without a gifted program I have been mostly satisfied with their response to challenging him. I've had to be involved and work with the staff (who are awesome). Most of his teachers have been great, with only a few bad apples over the three years he has attended. My only complaint would be the over emphasis on test scores, I'd love to see testing done every three years rather than yearly, but that's not something the school gets to decide. My daughter will start their next year and I'm excited to work with the staff again.

We are new to FMS and have grown to love this school very much. It took some time to adjust and get to know the teachers but we are happy to be a part of this school. Most of the teachers do a wonderful job of helping students fit in and flourish.

My child moved from an excellent D49 elementary to Falcon MIddle. My child loves the flexibility, time with friends, and lunch time. We do not like how electives are chosen for the students. We do not like how novels are picked for the students and no option is available. We also do not like how the teachers are not very responsive to parents through email or phone calls and like to get their classes in control through yelling.

The teachers overall are easy to communicate with. Like most situations there are one or two every year who aren't as active. Even with a district in turmoil the staff at the middle school put forth a great amount of effort to connect with the students.
