Over the years this school has went down tremendously. The teachers are rude and unprofessional talking about inappropriate things that do not go along with class lessons. Not only that, but some of the teachers have been throwing micro-aggressions towards my child who is an African American. This is not okay and I have talked to the principal about this, yet not changes have been made in the way the teachers are approaching my child as well as others who are not of Caucasian descent. With this, I have no more to say than Orange is just not a good school. The environment is not a positive place at all. This is the second child I am putting through this district and it will definitely be the last. I do not recommend Orange to anyone.

My experience as a parent to a child who will be graduating is grateful beyond what words can say.

I have two children which graduated from the district and was so disappointed. I would strongly advise those of African American ancestry to avoid this school district due to its profound insensitivity and blatant racism. I don't have enough space to enumerate the instances (unequal discipline practices, apathy towards use of the "N" word, lack of regard for Black History Month, etc), but suffice it to say one instance was so bad, I had to contact the US Department of Education. When they heard of it, they deemed it warranted an investigation. That is the ONLY time the school changed their stance on an inappropriate decision (wish I had known about this option earlier). Also, food for thought…to compete in athletics in the district, they only require a 1.0 GPA. Therefore, your kid could be getting all D's and they will still let them compete in sports! So if you are the parent of a student who is performing lower than parental expectations, you may not receive the backing of the school with the rigor you would hope. In summary, if at all possible, do not send your child here if you want him/her to be a critical thinker, regardless of ethnicity, but especially if you are of African American ancestry, as there is profound education inequality in the district and many hurdles to jump to get a typical kid well educated. Thank you

This is the best school I've ever been to in my whole life... I've been studying in another country before too... But Orange is the best school yet... The teachers r the best... The students r friendly with others... No fighting or anything like that... The only reason I love cleveland is this school.

Orange High School is a wonderful School. My kids are constantly challenged and encourage to pursue their dreams. The Teachers are very well trained and are very supportive. I am delighted with our choice for this School!.
