Terrible especially with transportation and getting hold of somone was a nightmare

My experience in the lower school and middle school far surpassed that of high school. I felt as if the value of academics dissipated in high school, with greater emphasis placed on athletics.

Gilmour offered me countless opportunities and encouraged me to do everything I could. There really is something for everything. Although it's an expensive school, I find this to be reflected in their sports and activities- in my own time I have seem the school financially support several new activities (expensive ones that required travelling and hotels, at that). Gilmour will offer you every single chance for excellence that they can, but only if you want to take it. The Greatschools section on activities offered misses a ton of them.The community at Gilmour is, fortunately, too small for cliques and bullying to become an issue. Although everyone generally has their closer friends, these groups are much more open than they would be at other schools, and almost everybody is friends with everybody else. Nobody is ever nervous to talk to anyone.

Gilmour Academy is a great atmosphere where students can grow and mature into young adults. They have strong academic and athletic programs to suit every student s needs and desires. It is truly a great place to be.

Gilmour Academy is a school dedicated to excellence. They mentor each student on an individual level to ensure every graduate has the tools necessary for success during their college years and future life endeavors.

My youngest entered Gilmour in the seventh grade and just graduated. The experiences - academically, athletically and socially - were tremendously positive. She will begin her freshman year of college at a very competitive college in the fall. She is leaving Gilmour with confidence and academic preparation that will ease her transition. The curriculum is demanding but the teachers are very supportive. I have two other Gilmour graduates who have thrived in college because of the experiences they had at Gilmour. Our family is very appreciative to Gilmour and we recognize what a wonderful community of teachers, parents and students are at this school.

Gilmour Academy is nothing but a money making machine. Gilmour Academy cares more about money than the education of it's students. The head of the development department is more concerned with making money for the sports programs than the academic. The school atmosphere is very elitist.
