Our children have been attending St.Thomas for 3 years and we have loved every minute. We have had all positive experiences with the teachers and principal. Excellent curriculum. Smart boards in the classrooms, mobile cart of iPads, music and art (even for the PreK & Pre3 students), Spanish class, plenty of recess times. We love St. Thomas!

Our daughter transferred to St. Thomas from another private school 1 1/2 years ago and it was the best move we ever made regarding her education! Her teachers give her just the right amount of firmness and freedom to learn as much as she can and excel. There are so many great activities for the kids and for the whole family to be a part of. We just had the Father Daughter Dance and it was amazing to see the outpouring of love, togetherness and teamwork. You won't look back when you make to choice to pick St. Thomas the Apostle!!!

Excellent leadership on all levels. Principal is always available to talk and listen to new ideas. Extremely supportive of students individual needs. Flexible but not enabling. Very loving and accepting of all families, Catholic or not. Additionally, they are the only school in the area to provide grade-relevant character building classes that address everything from bullying issues, to cliques and other challenges that kids face as they grow up. We are very happy there!

Our two daughters have been going here for the past 2 years. We have been very impressed by the dedication to the faculty, the involvement by parents, and the leadership of the principal. St Thomas, in my opinion, is the best PreK-8 grade school in the entire area and we did our research when we were deciding where our girls would go. I have not been disappointed at all in our decision. With their pre care and after care programs I can even get them there before work or pick them up after work if I am running late. They even have a bus which is hard to find with some private schools. My husband and I highly recommend St Thomas!

One of our children graduated from St. Thomas, and one is still there. It has the most comprehensive curriculum of any private school in the Peoria area, has been aligning to the Common Core for years, and boasts two Spanish teachers, a full-time art teacher, a full-time band/choir/music teacher, and a full-time PE teacher. There are a wide range of activities, from sports to speech to band to choir to chess club to Lego League to an annual school play (to name just a few). We LOVE that the Catholic emphasis on service to others is infused in almost everything the school does, yet the atmosphere is so welcoming that there are a surprisingly large number of non-Catholic families. We found our older child was very well prepared for high school, and our younger child is absolutely thriving.

Both of our children went to STS, and we loved it. The school had made a significant investment in foreign language, fine arts, and technology. They now have a 40+ person band, 2 full time foreign language instructors, Smart Boards in every classroom, a Mac lab and Macbooks so they can align more directly with Peoria Notre Dame HS. Class sizes are rarely over 25, and kindergarten under 20. While it is a Catholic school, I have always been impressed by the number of non-Catholic students that attend. They have programs targeted to help gifted math and reading students. In general, I'd say that St. Thomas is the top private school academically in the Peoria area, and it has a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. It really is a community of diverse families with shared values.

We have 3 children at St. Thomas and are thrilled with the school. The academic environment is challenging but also encouraging. The art, music and Spanish programs are a bonus. But the best thing about the school is the overall community. The principal, teachers, and parents all really care about the school and work hard to make it a wonderful place for the students.
