In my experience, I felt that I was almost targeted when I went there as I was blamed for many things and nobody seemed to just let me be me, if I were sending my kid to a school in the area, this would not be on the list. They also do make up a lot of questionable rules even for the littles things. Lastly I feel that the school really favors girls over boys, when I was at the school, if the girls were being loud in class or saying some really rude things to others, the teachers would let it slide. For boys it was completely different, being that if we were to do one bad thing the teachers would make it a big deal and reslly it made me not want to come back to the school on my last year. Like I said some of the teachers are not the best but there are some that are actually pretty good.

My daughter has attended St. Philomena for seven years. I feel the academics are challenging enough to push my child to succeed. Most of the teachers have been supportive and caring. We had one issue with a teacher that liked to play favorites and wasn’t very warm and caring. Bullying happens just like at any school. The administration has been willing to work with us when issues arise. My only complaint is that students don’t get extra support if they are struggling. We had to seek our own private tutor because there are no interventions for struggling students. I’d like to see an after school tutoring program for kids who need extra support.

I love St. Philomena Catholic School! It is a great environment to be in. All the students and their parents are kind and generous. My children love it there and always tell me how much more they love St. Philomena more than their old school. All the children that attend St. Philomena are so talented. Their sports teams are fantastic and the Jr. High Choir is marvelous! They were even invited to sing at the St. Mary's Cathedral. All the teachers care about their students and there is never and drama, or bullying. Send your children to St. Philomena Catholic School!

So much better then those fakes from Saint Vincents, there all just stuck up rich people! My child was bullied at the school for the longest time at St Vincents and they didnt do anything to help him. He is so much happier at St Phils now and I love it! Its a great education and community. Although some of the teachers aren't the best its still a good school.

This school sucks. Bullying goes on there from left to right. The teachers are very mean and way too strict. They also don't have the greatest academics either. Trust me, don't send your kid here. St. Vincent de Paul school is a great enviroment though and great academics- A BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL- So boo tigers and Go Vikings.(St.Vincent de Paul School)

Can't say enough about the culture at St. Phil's. Amazing Principal and teachers who focus squarely on the education, faith formation and well-being of all students. The academic program is innovative and top notch. There are no cliques, no drama - just a really positive environment. We'll be sad when our kids are done at St. Phil's - GREAT school!!

I love this school because it is part of my Catholic heritage, and because it is part of my neighborhood culture. Family members attended St. Phil's and the culture of Christianity is certainly part of who they have become as persons.
