Overall, we are having a great experience at Peekskill MS. Our child is thriving in the accelerated classes and also loves the music and performing arts electives. There are also a lot of after school options to keep the kids engaged. The staff have been caring and responsive, and have helped us navigate this challenging period of early adolescence, especially during covid. The teachers seem to genuinely care about the kids.

I love that this school is right in the neighborhood and that most of the students walk to school instead of bussed into some tucked away 'campus' that so many suburban schools have.

The location of this school is horrible! People who live on this street have to put up with cars driving both ways on a small street! Kids are let out of cars right on the street to attend the school. Kids cross the street all over, you never know if one will dart out between the cars parked. Just when you think you have a break when the school year is over, they have other activities that block the street!!

It's been great. The student population has been changing over the years and the staff are making adjustments as needed or required. The Arts and Music programs are excellent as is the technology programs. Added features are the pool and auditorium which are used by the public on occasion (for a fee) when school is not in session. There are many clubs and activities available too.

The Peekskill Middle School is an amazing school with a caring Principal, a staff committed to the success of the school and the kids. The kids are all happy and excited about the school. There are great programs, activities and an amazing committment for academic excellence.
