Trinity-Pawling has been wonderful at every level for my son...academically, socially, athletically, and great teacher mentoring.

Our son joined Trinity Pawling in mid-year as a Junior. He had been studying in France but the french high school was not giving him any credit for his junior year. His old school would not give him any credit either. He was facing summer school or worse, repeating a year. He was confused, upset, and very unsure of what would happen next. Trinity Pawling accommodated his situation with speed, professionalism, kindness and deep concern. I cannot say enough good things about the community and this school. Within weeks, no, days, the school was all-in. Our son acclimatized, got placed with a great roommate, great dorm. His classes got sorted out quickly and with minimal fuss. He has made friends, knows the teachers, and is doing well academically. He even made a film to increase awareness of littering on campus to help the community within his first few weeks. His new focus on Effort grades (a Hallmark of the Trinity Pawling community) is helping him transition, not just from a stopped-and-started Junior year but as a young man transitioning into adulthood. Honestly, I'm not aware of a school that could do this for our son's situation while maintaining high academic standards and a demanding, independent lifestyle.

Trinity-Pawling has brought out the best in our son. T-P's "Effort System" has motivated him to throw himself into academics with everything he's got. He's totally engaged in his classes and loving it. Trinity-Pawling supports kids in the passions they already have, and helps them find passions they never knew they had. We are so glad we found this school.I strongly disagree with some of the reviews on this site, which assert that T-P is for students who are "not academically inclined." T-P supports kids who struggle academically, but also supports kids who tend to excel. It is indeed a very sports-oriented school but in no way does that make it non-academic. The T-P culture makes the kids feel proud of doing the very best they can in every part of their lives.

Trinity Pawling is a warm and welcoming school that provides an excellent and rigorous academic program coupled with a wide variety of extracurricular offerings and AP courses. They have a strong athletic, music and arts program. The student body is very diverse with students from all over the world China, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Korea. The teachers are caring and involved and use an efforts based system that leverages the entire students progress and desire to succeed. This school gets it! Our son is very happy at TP!

TP is an ok school for a specific type of student: many of the students are from the suburbs of New York and are more athletically inclined. As a student, the curriculum was not hard, just normal. People say they feel challenged when they study there, but that's because TP doesn't pull from a very driven and/or talented crowd (excluding athletics). While the school promoted diversity, its really clique-based segregated by race/sport/interest. It is also a feeder school for Hobart, so that should tell you something. Lax program is good. This is not a school students that get good grades at their home school, it is a school for people who are sports oriented or who just go or are expected to go to a boarding school or were forced to do so. The teachers range from ok to bad; many have bad attitude. Very focused on athletics. Dorms are ok. Academics are meh. Location is good, but the school rarely uses its proximity to NYC to its advantage even though they over advertise it. Not a first tier school, it is somewhere between second and third. For what it is, its ok. TP is what the student choses to make of it. I came to TP for its chinese program and location, but I was disappointed.

The school does not offer a strong academic foundation for college. Many boys end up floundering in college. They need to place more focus on writing and research at this school. Very good for students with learning issues and offers a great dyslexia program.

This school is terrific. The boys are held to a higher standard and they meet it. Very structured, but very nurturing. This school really gets it.

A school for kids that are not academically inclined. This is definitely a school to help boys with behavioral issues and cognitive disorders. It has very little structure and there are too many young teachers that have no clue how to teach a class. Very disappointing experience.

Not much structure. Not easy to get extra help. Middle school is treated like the red headed step child.
