- Submitted by parent on May 22, 2023The school continues to perform at way below standard ratings statewide and nationally.They do not use peer reviewed science based curriculum for reading. They do not screen appropriately (early) for dyslexia and other disabilities early as per law.Teachers use Teachers Pay Teachers website for curriculum.

- Submitted by other on October 15, 2015I am the parent of 3 children who have attended Canaan Lake Elementary. The teachers are caring and very involved. My oldest is a gifted student and they challenged him, my middle had great difficulties and his IEP was designed and benefited him, and they continued to assist him in his move to middle school, my youngest had slight reading problems and they were there to help as well. The state test scores DO NOT reflect the school.
