When moving from California to Maryland I did a full review of all the schools and decided Lake Shore Elementary would be our preferred school of choice. We bought our home just so our daughter could go to this school. We have not been disappointed at all. This school and all it's staff are amazing. The principal is wonderful and communicates well with the parents. I can't say enough about the caring teachers at this school. The classrooms are around 14 to 15 students so they get a lot more one on one instruction. You can't go wrong with this school. I'm so happy we decided to settle in Lake Shore! This is the best community with caring and outgoing parents. We have lived all over the country and this by far is the best I've ever seen. They way they teach is like no other. The way they care about the students is above and beyond. Lake Shore is a family not a school and it rings true it takes a Village to raise a child.

My daughter started at Lake Shore's kindergarten during the school's temporary relocation and is finishing first grade there in a few weeks. I just can't say enough good things about this school...we had high expectations and it has surpassed all of them. Lake Shore's teachers are team players and are creative. When our daughter showed reading skills well beyond her grade level, they quickly experimented with other ways to challenge her, and did so in ways that were developmentally appropriate. The teachers stay in e-mail contact with parents and send plenty of materials home. We enjoy attending functions at the school because the faculty and staff are all so friendly and fun. To top it all off, Lake Shore's now in a brand-new building. It shines. So do the people who work there, and so do the kids.
