For many years I was pleased with this school, my two daughters were attending. They have really good teachers, but unfortunately they can’t control the bullying now. Specifically in one of the PE classes for 2nd grade. I had a meeting with the coach to figure out what was going on and he was super disrespectful and unprofessional. He interrupted me, yelled at me and my husband, I decided to finish the meeting because there was no end solution and no respect. If this is how he treats the parents imagine how he treats the students. The administration was not able nor did they want to help control it, they just covered up everything. My daughter was harassed multiple times, she was hit, punched, slapped on her bottom, choked, kicked and pushed. It’s obvious that the school does not care about the safety of their students. I’ve resourced to transferring to a different school for her own safety .

The principal is a joke. My son's special needs teacher was exceptional! I did not let my son continue to go to that school due to the principal and her lack of communication and her poor treatment of her staff. And the teacher I witnessed tell in the face of another special needs student was in line to be my son's teacher the following year. There was no way I was going to let that happen! My son's teacher was also reprimanded for telling me my son wasn't receiving the speech therapy he's required by law to get! By law his teacher is supposed to tell me these things! I guess if your child isn't special needs this school is a good place for them.

Barrel Springs is an excellent school. The teachers and administration care a lot about the kids. Mrs. Lugo is a very dedicated teacher who treats her students with much love and respect. My kids loved being in her class. The previous post about her is one-sided, and therefore, unfair.

Barrel Springs Elementary is beautiful and very organized. The staff really cares about their students.

Its a very nice school, secure and helpful, our granddaughter is happy to be in this school with how her teacher Mrs Jordan taught her, she will be in first grade this year and she misses her teacher already and Lucia at the gate do a marvelous job, very watchful for the safety our kids.

I REALLY LIKE THIS SCHOOL. I DONT REALLY LIKE THE NEW COACHES AS THEY ARE RUDE. LUCIA IS SWEET THOUGH. ALSO CECI FROM THE PTA IS VERY NICE AND SWEET, SHE IS ALWAYS INVOLVED IN ALL THE SCHOOLS ACTIVITIES. WE AS PARENTS SHOULD VOLUNTEER MORE.
