I have 2 kids enrolled in this school. So far from our personal experience some students need more help then others and since teachers are teaching by criteria some students are overlooked. Yes, guidelines have changed since I was in school. What benefited me learning was having physical paper work so I can highlight, underline and write notes. Most of the class work is done on a computer/ tablet now. Kids aren’t taught how to use the tools on whatever app they use to highlight important information. They are sent home with homework they don’t understand and teachers just tell them it’s okay if you don’t finish it or understand. They don’t touch base on the topic again since everyday is a new day with a new learning lesson. Extra help for kids who need it on certain subject should be offered but aren’t.

Overall, extremely unsatisfied. I had to remove my children from this school. I would never recommend anyone to enroll their children to this school. I feel for the ones labeled "bully's" at this school, because only they know why they are so angry, and I truly hope they receive any help they need. They are all still very young, and every child deserves to know there is a better future that they can make for themselves, and every child should know how its like to have a love for learning. It's sad to say the least to see so many little ones be so horrible to their peers.

Lots of bully. Teachers, principal and personal are rude and they don't care about the well being of your child.

Horrible!!!!!!!! Horrible!!!!!!!Stay away form the headache of this school.Principal is never available. my boys said that the restrooms are always dirty and without paper and soap. My niece was bullied lots of times and all they said was "change her to another school". We did report this to the school district and things were the same restrooms dirty and the bulling is getting worse nobody cares about that and they do ask for donations all the time.

I forgot to mention, the principal is rude, is never available to speak with, cant look you in the eye when you do get the rare chance to discuss a problem, she needs to go. The vice principal now is great. He seems to care about the students and their safety and learning, I think the school would be better if he was promoted to principal.

Well I know my Grandson is doing better at this school.. He came from a school here in AV that was supposed to be a bully free school and that school is nothing but bully school. School staff r a joke they use profanity in the office with children present not cool. So he is doing much better I'm happy with this school.he has not got bullied at since attending here at Joshua Hills..

I used to love Joshua hills it was my old school when I was younger I'm not sure how it is now but when I was their it was nice I also recommended buena vista

joshua school has a very safe campus,thats about it...when the school went on lock down i was not informed until later that night. The staff is rude except for one lady whno desk is in front of the principal office...the principle was never available and never returns calls...the vice principal is very unfair and cold...the teacher could not handle her class..in my 30 years of dealing with my kids school this has been the worse.....

I don't feel as though this school is doing all it can to help our kids achieve their full potential. My childs teacher has been absent more than I can count, I asked to have my child transfered to another class and was told no. The teacher yells at the kids, there is no communication between her and I. I have complained to the principal and nothing has been done. We will be moving out of Palmdale School district this summer to get away from this school. I would never send my kids to this school again!!!

My suggestion is to avoid sending your child to this school if at all possible. The leadership at this school shows no real care for the children or their well being. My daughter was choked by a bully on the playground and I did not even receive a phone call to be informed of the incident. There were so many other reasons why this school is lacking but just be warned that if you want a safe environment and a place to nurture and develop your childrens minds, this is NOT the school!

I truley Love this school its the best ever . <3 over the 5 years i went here its was the best and i would for sure want my kids to go to school here since its a great place to learn.

My son has been in this school for three years and I absolutely love the school. I do believe that there is severe overcrowding this year and I am not certain about the quality of teaching that will occur because of the extra bodies. I am also concerned about the new principal and hopefully she will continue the wonderful example of her predecessor.

This is my 4th grader's first year at the school after redistricting forced a transfer from another school. So far, it just seems like an average but ok school with average academic challenge. There seems to be an abundance of ESL students. Though I don't have issues with safety once inside the school's gates, I am very uncomfortable with the situation with the older, unruly and foul mouthed siblings that come and hang out at the adjacent playground waiting to pick up their brother or sister. Some of the kids coming out of the school like to play on the playground afterward,
