We've had multiple kids go through all grades at OIS with a variety of teachers. My kids feel safe and cared for, and that's the best environment to learn.

The staff is pretty good about communicating with parents. My child has been happy with how most subjects are taught. Joining band is an option & lessons start the summer before 5th grade (though kids can start later, I understand). A month of swimming classes are given in the P.E. class for all kids in OIS. The math curriculum is behind where they are in the Minnesota schools & there aren't a lot of opportunities for all of the kids who excel in math to move forward in that area (the accelerated class for math that just entered the program is extremely competitive & only a specific & limited number of students are allowed to participate). A month of summer school is an option for all kids & most classes are free of cost or have a small fee plus bussing is available.
