Painted Sky is a wonderful school. Teachers and Principal are invested in children’s success. It’s a nurturing environment and parents are involved.

Painted Sky is a top-notch school with effective leadership, highly qualified and supportive teachers and staff, and an incredible commitment to its students. Painted Sky has received an “A” letter grade from the Arizona State Board of Education and thereby recognized as an “Excellent” school in 2017, 2018, and 2019. The school’s standardized test scores have averaged among the top 9% in Arizona in the past 5 years. Painted Sky has received results-based funding from the State in all three years of the program for its high academic performance. And this year, the school welcomed the addition of a STEM-focused Maker Space with supplies and technology—including 3D printers—for students to explore, discover new ideas, create, build, and collaborate. I highly recommend Painted Sky!

I love, love, love Painted Sky! Great school with healthy balance of academics, hand-on learning, field trips, and fun. They now offer many before and after school extracurricular activities, too. They welcome parent volunteers and host events for families to build a support network for students and their families. Amazing staff are always going above and beyond. You can tell they care about their students.

The last two teachers could have been better prepared with struggling children. When approached by parents who had concerns they took too much time to get the child the assistance they needed, meanwhile the child fell further behind. There should be better communication between teachers and their students parents.

both of my children went through Painted Sky and had a great experience. This is especially true for my son, who has an IEP. Both of his special education teachers were tireless advocates for him. Without their support, he would not have made it.

The last three teachers my child had did not communicate at all. Unless you have a "problem child" be prepared for zero communication. The class ratios are at the max, and teachers seemed overwhelmed. The principal is visible but does not seem genuinely interested in student growth. I get the impression she is buying her time at this school until retirement. Not sure how this school is rated a 9/10. It's been a subpar experience at best.

This school is put together well with a united faculty and staff that love the students and works extremely hard to not only educate the students, but also that there's a bigger picture out there and they are apart of it. I love that the principal knows every single name of every single kid and greats them by name every morning. I love that my child's teacher teaches him the love of reading and learning. It's a safe school where my child can grow to be the best friend, student, and brother he can be. P.S. They do teach STEM.

My kids have had good experiences here. The principal has recently changed and she is a bright and spirited lady. She seems to know everybody's name. There is a definite sense of family, a strong PTO and wonderful teachers. The. kids seem to be doing well when they transfer to middle school and are well prepared. The teachers really make this school outstanding.

Excellent school atmosphere for the students. The classrooms are well equipped, teachers are very well qualified and do a great job of caring for the students. The classes excel in their accomplishments and the parent involvement really shows. I've never seen an elementary school with such good parent involvement. Glad we moved here and currently have one child in 1st grade.

Painted Sky has the best kindergarten teachers in the world! My child's teacher is so talented. I can't believe how far my daughter has come this year. They hatched chicken eggs and butterflies this year and my daughter can't stop writing about how much she learned! She is reading and writing well beyond the kindergarten level. Full-day kindergarten is so worth the investment!! My daughter's teacher is very nurturing, but firm and structured. Her professional approach really pushes the children academically. Parents talk all the time about how well prepared for first grade the kindergartners are. My daughter's teacher has been a dedicated, hard-working supporter of Painted Sky for more than ten years and parents just love and appreciate her. This year has been our first at Painted Sky, and we are so looking forward to future of our three girls here.
