This school is probably one of the most poorly organized schools I've ever had to deal with. The front office staff seems like they are not experienced, just whoever they can find at the time to fill the spot. 99% of the staff speak Spanish on any given day, so good luck if you do not. Communication is not their strong suit, so don't expect much when it comes to events, papers sent home, flyers or notifications. They just don't do it. Bullying is an issue at this school, my child is constantly getting pushed, smacked, hit, scratched, etc and I have yet to be notified about any of these events. The overall vibe I get from the kids at this school is they do not have manners or a good background at home. Instead of a school, when I walk inside, I feel like it is a daycare. Speaking of daycare- Dramatic Ed is very poorly run because it is managed by teenagers. Every single afternoon, I have to get out of my car and approach the workers to find my child because they are never outside doing their job. Some of them like to even get an attitude with the parents, I've seen it happen daily. As far as my overall feelings of this school: If this is your zoned school, I would advise you to apply for a different school. Some of the teachers probably try hard to change the stigma that this school has and I appreciate that, but it isn't working. This school needs to implement more structure and enrichment beyond what they are doing.

I have two kids(TWINS) at this school in Pre-Kindergarten and they have learned alot this year. They were taught sight words, shapes, colors, numbers and songs in both english and spanish. The homework system they have is very effective. My kids are ready for Kindergarten.

I am parent of a child, and the teacher like to discriminate the kids, because most of them are Hispanics and she's not, other thing is the teacher not helping the kids to grow up, and not attended them, then whe the report cards coming the teacher like to talk bad about your kids, like they don't know nothing, but is only because the teacher doesn't like the kids.so good luck for the kids that is gonna go for 2016 with that school with that can of teachers.

Ventura Elementary school is a joke! Stay faaaar away! I've already seen 3 different principals in the past 3 years. These people do not know the meaning of communication, so Dont expect them to tell you anything that is going on with your child. Some of the teachers here are amazing but most arent. I am highly dissatisfied with this school. Oh and by the way, if you Dont speak Spanish......good luck in the office!

I Am a parent my kids used to go to the school in the fight start reading it must've been the staff because does school is very far away from five stars. They have good teachers but they also have very bad teachers starting with the principal it's incredible that my kids has to eat their food the in the morning on the floor because they didn't want to let the kids in the cafeteria. So if you have a kid that needs to go to school I suggest you look for another option a move away because this is not a good school for the kids you will definitely notice when you going to the office to try to talk to the staff we can just correctly because you might have a big surprise up on your way
