We are so grateful for our time at Lake George Elementary. It truly is an exceptional school with dedicated and caring staff. Our child loved every moment of their experience, from the engaging lessons to the fun activities. The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive and encouraging.The music and art programs are top-notch, fostering creativity and a love of the arts in our children. The PTA is a vibrant and active organization that organizes fantastic events and provides invaluable support to the school community.We feel fortunate to have been part of the Lake George Elementary family and highly recommend this school to other families.

We can't say enough good things about this school. Our son joined his first grade year and has thrived. The administration supports not only in school activities, but after-school activities. My now 4th grader has found his love for music and theater through their arts & music program. They have sports clubs, chess club, gardening and so many other things that teach skills outside the classroom. As far as the teachers, we have been fortunate to have a caring teacher each year.

Its a great school, We are happy to have started here the education of our children in this country. The teachers made us feel like we had been in school for years. The inclusion of our children was great and almost immediately. Thanks Lake George Elementary School.

We highly recommend Lake George. The staff is friendly and helpful and the teachers are amazing. There is great communication through calls, emails, and Class Dojo (phone app). My child loved his classes and excelled at this school. The specials teachers are fantastic, especially the music and art teachers. There are so many activities put on by the PTA and the kids have so much fun. and there are several different clubs that the kids can join through out the year. The media specialist has a ton of fun activities for the kids to do and the kids love to go to the library. Highly recommend and it's fun to volunteer there too.

The teachers work together as a great team and go above and beyond for the kids and parents. The administration is very supportive not only to the staff and children but to the parents as well. The Music and Art departments are also incredible at this school!

Lake George has the friendliest staff and the teachers are caring. The bond at the school is very hard to find and it is a small quaint tight knit school. The students love the clubs and activities that are planned. My kids enjoy going to school every day. The PTA plans very fun events for the kids.

My child attended Lake George Elementary from K-5 and she absolutely excelled every year. The staff educators are outstanding and give you one on one attention with every scholar.

My children’s time at lake george has been so positive! All of the teachers there work together as a team and the student is always first in their books! The admin is so supportive and really focused on the whole child! Not only do academics have a great focus, but the arts are also incredible at this school! The music and art programs are very involved and have tons of opportunities to bring the creative out of any child.

Lake George Elementary is an excellent school. We have had the best experience and love the whole staff. The teachers go above and beyond for the kids and parents. The communication is outstanding and they use Class Dojo to send messages. The music, art, and PE departments gonout of their way to enhance the kids life. The PTA is outstanding and puts on fun events for he kids and families to enjoy. We highly recommend LGE!

I do not recommend this school. My daughter was getting bullied and nothing gets done. They don’t want kids to get up because they will get in trouble. These teachers are not paying attention to students and what goes on in the class. When you ask for a call they don’t call you. Ok top of that you will have certain people that work there look at you wrong all because you are making a valid complaint.

I find that there is over communication with school social events and a lack of communication on how a students week will look with regard to their work load and when tests will be given. I’ve requested a phone conference a few times and still haven’t received a call from anyone at the school. The school is also unwilling to help assist with tutoring for my student who is performing below grade level because she attends extended day. I had to purchase an iPad to acclimate my child with the vessel she’s being given tests on as she was not allowed to check out the one she uses at school. The OCPS school website instructions do not align with how to accomplish steps in signing up for different access to canvas etc. but I was instructed to go online to view test scores that are stored in several different apps. The experience of learning how to help my child be successful in her class has been frustrating due to the lack of information.

My son attended this school after his father retired from the military. Prior to this school my son had a very extensive IEP with multiple services needed for him to succeed. When I went to register my son I was told by one of the women that work in the office that handle registration that they "do not offer those services to students" and that if I didn't like that I could find a private school for him. When the school year started they completely and totally dismissed his IEP. Not knowing any better I thought we were stuck with this school. Until this point my son had only been in DoDEA schools (schools on military posts) and had a wonderful special education staff that did all they could for him. If it wasn't for his teacher at this school, Ms. Wyatt, my son would not have been promoted to second grade. We moved after that and his new school gave him a new IEP. As a result of this school dismissing his IEP he did not have the services he needed to be a successful student and he now has to repeat the second grade. I've since found out that what they did was illegal. If you are the parent of a special needs student, RUN AWAY from this school.
