This school was Horrible, my child was bullied most of the time and the teacher did nothing at all (special needs)... I wish my child never had to experience that last year... Thumbs down!!

This is a good school even though is overcrowded. Parent involvement is welcomed. The school has a very good curriculum that integrates Art and Music.

This year is a bit crowded than previous years due to lots of new homes . But the Teachers and staff truly care for the best education for our children. They are well equipped and I know they will be up for the challenge. Not one child goes unnoticed.Teaches and staff are well organized even if they have a lots more students this year. Proud stonelakes elementary mom. Love this school.

Overcrowded. Some classrooms have twice the number of kids they were designed for (even with two teachers).

99% of the Teachers are great! They really care about the kids!! A few of the teachers give PTA kids and parents special treatment. So,unless you are part of the PTA, don't expect anything extra for your child. The PTA kids are bullies and when you bring this to the attention of the administration and staff... Your child is reprimanded and punished. While the PTA kids get special treatment and there is no discipline or reprimanded that is applied towards them. Or you can pay your kids way into getting them into special clubs. It's only a few that makes it bad for the teachers who are really AWESOME and truly care about the children and not the popularity contest.

My kids have studied at 6 different schools in 2 different countries since they were born (4 private, 2 public) and hands down Stone Lakes Elementary is the BEST bar none. Granted, it is a bit tough, but kids feel important at this school. They are actually learning how to learn and are getting a solid foundation. Our new principal is quiet but really smart and really, really committed. The community could not be better! LOVE SLE!

This is an amazing school hands down. They have outstanding teachers and a wonderful principal. I'm apart of this family and I take pride in it. I graduated I the 2013-2014 school year, but made memories I will never forget. I was unhappy to leave this place behind. We aim for growth and improvement, but this school is already truly amazing. I love you guys forever. Think big, soar high, and begin with the end in mind. Keep defying awesomeness .

Teachers and staff are rude, teachers do not care about student growth- just test scores.

Can only say good things about Stone Lakes Elementary! In a little over 3 months, it's incredible how much our kindergartener has learned to read. So far so good!

Stone Lakes is truly a school of excellence! Dr. Kennerly is fantastic. She is a true leader and loves every child who comes through the door. She knows every child by name and their academic achievement. She is an amazing person and the teachers just want to work harder because of the leader. The teachers are so dedicated. They communicate with the parents and hold high expectations for the students. I guess this is why Stone Lakes is #1 in the county AND #7 in the state. It is a happy place to go every day!

This is a horrible school for students with disabilities. There are good reasons why the US Dept of Education Office of Civil Rights and the Florida Dept. of Education have investigated this school. Students with disabilities have been subjected to excessive physical and mechanical restraints, some restrained more times than entire counties have restrained all of their children.

Stone Lakes is again the No. 1 school in the District and the 7th best in the State. Congrats to Dr. Kennerly, the great staff, and the great teachers who are always there for our children. There is no better school anywhere with also the best Music, Art, Media, and PE programs around.

my children attended this school when it first opened in august 2006 until we moved again in september 2007. they also attended avalon about a block down the street. we lived in stoneybrook and my girls could walk through our gated community out the back gate and get to this school which is at the back gate. it is fantastic, safe, teachers are wonderful, everything is organized, the principal is the best! you will absolutely love this school!!

Stone Lakes is a terrific school! Yes, FCAT scores are high and that is something to be proud of! This school has many dedicated teachers and this neighboorhood has great kids and involved parents. It is true the principal is not well liked by some parents, but it takes a tough cookie to run a top notch school. The kids are getting a great education in spite of cut backs and a tough economy. Negative reviews are just realestate agents trying to beef up sales in the neighboring community. Stone Lakes and Stoneybrook are a wonderful place to live. Don't hesitate to send your child to school at Stone Lakes. My child is well prepared to go to middle school and loved all her teachers all 6 years she attended. It was a great experience and I wouldn't live anyplace else!

This school is excellent. This is the 3rd state my kids have gone to school in and we are impressed. I cannot express how caring the staff and teachers are. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. The class sizes are small and the teachers care so much about each child's progress. It is very easy to communicate with them about any questions or concerns. We love it!

Worst school in the world, such a disappointment after attending Avalon Elementary School which was excellent. Dr. Kennerly is a horrible principal in my opinion and should be replaced. All she cares about are test scores. She does not take the time to make sure the teachers are doing their job correctly. She does not return phone calls. There is also over crowding. She may fire a teacher with no replacement ready. In the meantime, kids are crowded into other existing classrooms. It is very uncomfortable for the students. The school is the complete opposite of Avalon Elementary which is excellent. That school has a true Captain. I wish the zoning had not changed. Don't move to Stoney Brook, or be prepared to home school. The homework will take a few hours nightly and you will see your child learns best from you. The teachers don't teach there. The teachers don't really care, maybe just about losing their jobs. Kids are simply numbers, test scores. That is all there.
