The leadership at this is school is awful. Horrible place for children with IEPS. Bullying is taken lightly. Awful communication between administrators and parents. Teachers are AMAZING so far. Take all your problems to the state commissioners office you will get heard and the problem will get fixed.

The teachers are not friendly. I have heard horrible comments about other students right from the teachers' mouths. Teachers that work here do not even have their kids attend here. Some even have their kids in private school. The parents are even worse. It is so disorganized. The pe and recess is playing on blacktop which is dangerous. Teachers are too busy gossiping to notice kids getting hurt. This school has gone downhill.

We had two daughters in the school and the older teachers seems to have lost their passion for teaching. The sports and recess facilities are deplorable because there's no trees to shade the children from the hot Florida sun nor are there cold fresh drinking fountains displayed outside to keep the kids hydrated. There's no spiritual or religious element to the school. Which is a disgrace because a child is made up of mind, body and spirit (not just mind). In addition, the school never appreciated or acknowledges the efforts of parents and student donations. And when you try and speak to the principle or staff about your concerns, they run and hide. They avoid you because they're all just trying to hold on to their jobs. I realized later, it wasn't only my issues with the school that ultimately lead us to take our daughters out. But apparently other parents felt the same because Bay Meadows went from a "A rated" school in 2016 to a "B rated" school. The only problem with that is that the kids suffer. And finally, the younger teachers being hired have no idea how to teach the kids. They teach to the "test" and not to the individual child. They have no clue hold to keep order in their classrooms when it comes to the children being bussed in from other disenfranchised areas. The teacher's words to those students are "make good choices". But how can a child "make good choices" when they're hungry or tired from the night before? How can they "make good choices" if they're having problems with their homework but the teacher cant stop because they have get to the next section of their lesson plan? It was just so sad to watch and I hope they do better in the years to follow but my husband and I just didn't have the time nor the patience to wait and see.

Teachers and Staff are wonderful. They show a lot of support for the students. Principal is seems nice but is not very visible to students or parents.

Bay Meadows Elementary is a wonderful school. The staff does an outstanding job with the kids. I am pleased that it is a diverse school. I really love it.
