I am a current student at CHMS. I have been to this school for three years. (I am an eighth grader) In my three years at Center Hill Middle School, principals focused more on dress-coding students than engaging with them. Most students would rather be insubordinate and act up than be respectful and kind. I will say a few great things about my school. We have amazing test scores, awesome teachers, and a spectacular special education program. However, Center Hill has a horrendous problem with bullying, as I have been a victim. The counselors couldn't care less. We have had multiple fights, crimes, threats, and more at my school, thus making me question our school's safety. The school also focuses more on independence and not getting the help of others. For example, parents, peers, and teachers' help is considered "cheating". Recently we have gotten a new assistant principal Dr. Thomas who has already made choices that make students upset. For one she has changed the conversion charts for English tests which is what has been the norm for several years. This decision has me and my fellow students even more stressed over our grades.

Both my children had great experiences at CHMS. CHMS has many wonderful teachers who go the extra mile. CHMS has a high state ranking and a supportive PTO as well. While no school is absolutely perfect, CHMS is a wonderful choice and feeds into an INCREDIBLE high school!

My daughter spent her 3 years of middle school at Center Hill. I was pleased with the teachers and their curriculum. My child learned well, and was kept safe. The teachers were responsive when I needed them,.

The schools high rating is based solely on test scores and NOT on teacher/ child/ parent involvement. If you want to know how good the schools really are read the reviews from Parents and Children. They know how the school administrators help or don't help the kids. This school is HORRIBLE! I am a parent and my children have gone here for 4 years. Sad excuse of Office Administrators. Our tax paying dollars deserve Better and so do our children.

This school needs NEW assistant principles and so does the High school. These assistants think they are the last resort to discipline. they always wait till the end of the year to start getting even the good kids in trouble and making them go through ALC or worse. These schools are worse than OB. Don't let the 10 rating always make your decision. Talk to parents in the schools before you ever move your child here.

The Middle and the High school here NEEDS NEW Assistant Principles. They are on such a power trip it isn't even funny. They get all the GOOD kids in trouble at the end of the year. They are so stuck on themselves. They are so busy picking on kids that they aren't even watching what really goes on with the teachers. I think the news explains about the teachers. So many are leaving these schools. They have their friends put up good post on ratings on here so they continue to look good. ASK and kid that goes there. They need to remember they work for the public and the tax payers pay their pay checks. If everyone did home schooling these so called administrators would be unemployed as they should be.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this school; my daughter has had a great middle school experience, the teachers go above and beyond. The administrative staff are always walking around with smiles, and often times student stop to chat with them!

Center Hill Middle School located in Olive Branch, MS has been a five star school for the past several years. This is due to the wonderful teachers, staff and students that we have! The teachers bring out an eagerness to learn in the students that is unmatched! You can see and feel the love that they have for all of their students. As a parent of two children in the school, I can honestly say and every time I have approached a teacher for assistance with my children I have been met with concern and a willingness to help my children to succeed that every parent should have the joy of experiencing! Center Hill Middle School has proven to be a total success in raising the standards of our local education system and for preparing our children for a better high school experience. I could not be more proud!
