My child has been removed from this school. A new Principal and teachers are needed.

No field trips, nor excitement to motivate kids to want to come to school. Rude, nonchalant principal. I still have no clue to who's the assistant principal. My kindergartener isn't reading. Etc

I agree this school is horrible. My children have been to 3 different states. They love going to school until they came here. They have never had any issues with grades until they came here. They have never been into trouble. My kids were bullied here and my son tried telling the teacher, however the teachers would tell him. Put his hand down, go sit down, whatever he said wasn't important it could wait. Not even giving him the chance to say he was afraid to get on the bus to go home because he was threatened. One of my kids had an IEP meeting and his teachers did not come to the meeting. The principle showed up in the end and his home room teacher showed up towards the end. His math teacher wasn't there. His reading and writing teacher wasn't there. One teacher contact me through Facebook and I asked for the assignments to be sent to me he replied he doesn't give homework. I asked could extra credit be given he said he don't give extra credit. His was response was the schoolwork is easy. When the truth was he was just lazy and wouldn't acknowledge a concern parent trying to help her child progress. His response there is nothing he can do. What that teacher failed to understand is that just because tge work is easy to the teacher doesnt mean its easy for all students. Every child learns different. Now my son has never had problems putting in the effort out of all the schools he has been to. But that school he had problems at. It's not always the student. It's the teachers and the environment at the school too. Everyone plays a part. If I didn't know any better I would have believe my kids were the problem. But I do. Because every other school my kids been to the teachers and principles loved them, motivated them, and still keeps in contact with my children. Not this school. Highland Oaks Elementry does not motivate all children. Highland Oaks elementry have a no child left behind policy but yet some of these children are left behind. I feel bad for the children that are still at that school and are left behind. This school she be ashamed of themselves because they play a big part in these kids future and they are not giving these children the best future.

The staff here is very unprofessional, unorganized, and spend more time focusing on the wrong things. By things I mean they rather focus on kicking children out of school, instead of trying figure out with the parent or parent's what is the best overall solution to get students what they need. If this school spent just as much time on academics, like they do on issues that do not matter this could would be alright......but unfortunately this is not the case at this institution. It should be a teachers job as well as the administration to help children strive for success and figure out what children need to achieve that success. If our children continue to fail then we all fail, to my knowledge that's why that staff pick this career to help children not make them just another static

Very horrible school. Unclean and unsafe. Teachers and staff work to push out students more than help them succeed.
