I have a daughter with Down Syndrome enrolled at CCE. It has been the greatest experience ever! Her team of teachers and para’s are amazing. She gets tons of one on one help and has grown sooo much. Most of that growth is due to the dedication and hard work that her teachers put in day in and day out. IEP goals are well defined and track able. Her data tracking is constantly up to date and her growth from week to week and month to month is incredibly evident. In addition, our daughter has made true friendships with kids in the “normal” class. Rarely is our daughter as “accepted” as she is at CCE. If you have the ability to send your children to this school than you should.

We have had the BEST experience at CCE. My daughter is shy and timid, but we have seen tremendous growth since she started attending. I'm so impressed with the staff and teachers. I was a teacher for 10 years in a different "top rated" KC Metro school district and would have loved to have worked in such a positive, student-centered environment. I'm so thankful we are in the CCE attendance area!

My kids transferred into this school and were widely accepted and made many new friends. We had outstanding teachers that listened to their needs and built strong relationships with them. Please don't be dissuaded by earlier low star ratings as these don't seem relevant any longer.

We have two children in this school. We have had different teachers for all the years we have been there. Both of our children are excited to go to school and do very well academically, as well as socially. Mr. Reves is an excellent principal that makes the school environment fun and exciting. The new librarian is so creative and welcoming. She has started new programs, as well as made the library a comforting place for our children. The music programs directly correlate to what the kids are learning in the classroom. The after school programs offer variety (math wings, Spanish club, running club, science club, GOTR, Legos, just to name a few). The teachers are very good at communication with parents. The office staff is delightful. Have almost nothing bad to report

I am not happy with the education or the teachers at this school. My kids felt segregated when they went there and I am glad we moved out of this district. Shame on you CCE.

My child has not been treated right at this schools. Every time there is a problem they always blame the children rather than accepting fault for their action and retraining their staff so the they would not make the same mistake again.

I'm not a fan of these sites where "anonymous parent" who's child may not even go to this school, can write a review about Cedar Creek Elementary (CCE). I'm not saying some didn't have a issues with this school but I'm not a fan of these sites that lets anyone post. I've lived in Cedar Creek for over 6 years & I know or have met half of the 1,200 residents & I've never heard one negative thing about CCE. I read a negative review about a child being bullied at CCE. Bullying is a terrible thing but I don't see how one bad child makes the CCE bad. My real name is Jeff Sheppard & I live & work in Cedar Creek, which is the community that surrounds CCE. My son goes to CCE & has for 3 1/2 years. We absolutely love the school for many reasons. The main reason we love the school is because our son was not a great student at first (C average) & he had trouble focusing. Rather than putting my son on drugs to help him focus the school recommended a special program for one year, which meant a little extra one on one with his teacher. After completing this one year program my son is now a straight A student & doesn't need one on one teaching anymore. I can't thank CCE enough.

Since my 3 kids started attending Cedar Creek Elementary School, my children encountered discrimination, harassment and bullying not only from staff but also from students. We have reached out to the principle and when there was nothing done we raised the issue to the district, still there was resolution. However six years later my daughter was questioned by one of the teachers after telling that teacher not to question her because she is extremely shy. Six days later her own teacher went through her backpack and made harsh remarks toward my daughter.Once again i reached out to the district;and members of the district stated teachers have the right to go children's backpacks. Not only my kids have gone through discrimination but I have as well.

These reviews are too old to assess how it is like now. I just moved from California and I am looking to buy a house that the elementary is district to Cedar Creek. The house is perfect for my family. However, with the reviews posted, I am actually opposed to putting in an offer. Could someone post updated comments about the bullying and non-acceptance of others the the parent posted previously? Thank you

I personally when here back when the school was only 2-4 years old. I found the students to be unaccepting of others and that the school did not do anything to help with the children being bullied, simply sent the kid to the guidance office and expected that to fix the problem. Eh, I only think they needed to step up with anti-bullying measures. I don't know about how it is now. I wouldn't sent my kid there anyway.
