The administration seems to prioritize fundraising every two weeks, but unfortunately, parents aren't responding because they don't see the money's impact within the school. There's a pressing need for intervention and a turnover in management. Parents often discover their child's teacher has been changed only during pickup, with no prior notification. Tutoring is selectively offered, but even if your child is chosen, you're still required to pay. Communication between teachers and parents is virtually non-existent, necessitating parents to constantly investigate for answers. Bullying persists unchecked, as teachers and administrators seem overwhelmed. Instead of addressing the issue, children are expected to tolerate physical harm without recourse. The school fails to inform parents when their child is injured, expecting them to dismiss such incidents. Given the significant real estate taxes paid in this area, it's disheartening that this school, the only one on the east side, falls short. Before enrolling your child, it's advisable to thoroughly research the school's report card on Niche.

My kid loves this school. I get alerts all the time about the many wonderful activities. Most of the parents are nice. There are a few that I have noticed are just too much for this side of town. The teachers work really hard and admin are always helpful.

I don’t recommended this school the teachers and the office staff are terrible, this principle is unwelcoming to parents, we should be able to have lunch with our children any day of the week this school has a schedule set for parents visitation, working parents can’t enjoy a lunch with their children on their days off this has become an inconvenience and secondly they need to take down the clear dividers used from COVID in the office, and third they need to keep all matters private as it relates to child behavior the office staff over shares within themselves about students behaviors, also the traffic duty teacher has no business tapping or banging on any vehicles while waiting in line or cut you off because she feels it’s necessary to let other vehicles go before your wait time.

I'm a mother of 3 children that attended LBJ. My children love attending this school all the staff work hard! I have an autistic son who attends the school's autism class room. I am very impressed with the teachers they are so dedicated to helping our children succeed no matter what the obstacle. If you are a parent with an autistic child or children please rest assure that your child will be treated well and educated at LBJ! Thank you all staff at LBJ

I dont know who wrote anything favorable for this school unless its a teacher or some member of staff trying to pose as a parent. I say do not send your child here unless you want them to come home each day very misrable. The Teachers look misrable the principal basiclally ignores you even walking past you in the halls without a greeting. no parent teacher integration because since joining this school no one has even mentioned it. school homework is repetative ( same homework sheets as if the kids are not intelligent and need to go over the same sheets for weeks in a row.) No math homework I had to ask several times for it and it is still not happening. If feels like being in a mausoleum - The strictness is so far fetched that you wonder if they want children to be children and enjoy life. I have made a big mistake and I am paying for it. If you have a kid and you are wondering where to go then take it from me this is not the place. Even the building is rundown and old the colors in the building are seriously depressing children require bright, airy, attractive colors this place is drab dusty old and misrable just like the principal.
