I was a substitute teacher the past couple of years and absolutely love this school best of the six or so I subbed at. The kids were almost all great and the most troublesome kids were really no trouble. The teachers really cared and there was palpable school pride. First rate teachers all around in Music , Science, Social Studies, maybe Math (I personally dislike Math but the teachers are swell) .... The school was clean and the hall art and signage promoted positivity. The diversity was one of the positives I liked and appreciated most.Lastly, the Administration was wonderful. Two years ago, the 8th graders were a tough lot with too much drama and fighting. Just my theory but I believe the 8th graders were the Covid kids that missed 6th grade and intro to middle school. I talked with a few as 9th graders and they seem to be embracing HS much more. Last year, the drama and fighting almost ceased entirely. Absolutely love this school and the lion pride ROAR

I attended AMS and the Administration and Staff have poor advice and are not very supportive of the issues that go around in the school, there have been many bullying and harassment issue that were brought to their attention that have been swept under the rug and handled poorly which have left students to act out with their own matters because of it. I have been told by Admin to basically to deal with it myself and denied by Administrators over and over again when I've came to them about the bullying and harassment it's gotten to a point where I didn't feel safe walking around my own school. The principal and Vice Principal/ Assistant Principal have lied numerous time with these situations to make their poor decision look different or justify their wrongs. There has been proof of threats lobbed and thrown on social media and in text that were shown and nothing was done or brought up about it. A lot of issues and concerns have been swepted under the wrong and brushed off. Mr.Linly is all about how his school is represented and looks, in reality it is the wild west.

Stay clear if you want to keep your kid safe! Counting down the days until we can leave. The stories coming out of that place are horrendous! Teachers are unable to teach due to students being so disruptive. Students fighting in class, students tackling other students, fights on lunch tables, in the hall, students chased by other student with scissors and teachers being hit or pushed during the events. Now students jumping other students and parents showing up to the school with their kids and getting into fights in front of the school involving pepper spray and children being in lockdown inside and outside of the school. All parents receive from the school is a letter sent out at 415pm stating cops were called and responded and here is a little detail to add on the previous days incident. More power to the teachers and bus drivers who stick it out with little or more like NO support. I am sure the teachers are great when they are able to teach and without their supplies and personal belongings being stolen by students. Obviously social emotional support is lacking or these children would not be fighting every day. As for special education, I am not sure but maybe they should be bring back alternative education and stop mainstreaming all kids into public schools. It obviously is not helping the kids wanting to learn and those who are obviously acting out for a reason and also don't get a chance to learn in an environment that can meet their needs. What's next? Knives, guns?

Administration, counselors and teachers are fantastic! Bus driver is also great under the conditions of shortages they are working with... Caring, able to address individual student's needs and very communicative with parents, in my case. My two girls transferred from a private Montessori school to AMS this year (2021-2022) and even with COVID, the faculty was very responsive and helpful to make sure they adjusted well. They love their teachers and have made friends and are doing well academically.

My son is an honor student finishing up his final year at this school. The principal, Mr. Lindley, is great with communication and provides a safe atmosphere with zero tolerance for bullying. We have a enjoyed a great middle school experience within a wonderful diverse community. I feel like my son is set up for success for high school this fall.

My son just started 6th grade here, and my daughter went here all three years. Overall we were satisfied with the school, but it could use some improvements. It's very old and needs renovations. Also, while approx. 70% of the teachers were great, there were a few that seemed to just be there collecting a paycheck. There was a concerning lack of passion. The curriculum was good, and the amount of homework was just right. I'd also like to see official sports at the MS level, such as football, soccer, basketball, etc. The new principal seems great!

My daughter has just about finished her 6th grade experience at this school. In all, I believe the homework amount is reasonable and that students are actively participating in classes nicely. I am happy to find out that the school faces little to no bullying issues, even though no uniform is assigned there. The current Principal is very active with his students, my daughter has told me that he helps with the lunch patrol for all the grades and always does the evening announcements. The racially diversity of this school pretty good, with many different ethnicities to social with. I would recommend this school even to the President!

Our daughter has just entered 7th grade. So far our experience is greatly improved versus the Elementary school. We like most of the teachers and appreciate the leadership of the current Principal.

My time at Arundel Middle School has been the best of my (so far relatively short) life. The teachers I've met are fantastic and have shaped my life so much. Of course some parts of the administration have problems, but it's easy to overlook. I've been able to meat so many friends and it is easy to find the support I need to achieve my straight A's *pats self on back*. As long as you focus on staying in the most advanced class the school has great benefits. It is easy to avoid bad students.

Mr. Bosnijak and Ms. Clark need to fired!!! Bosnijak doesn't care about about kids that break the rules and don't handle the punishment correctly. Ms. Clark rather not know what goes on and just sit in the office or she is out of the office. No wonder kids are so out of control and don't care because they know they will not face any real punishment.

This school has some great teachers but the current principal is disorganized and horrible at parent communication. Many classes are disrupted by unruly students and teachers are not supported by admin. My son is given little to any enrichment as opposed to the great experience we had at his elem school, Piney Orchard. If you child is advanced, look at a magnet school or go somewhere else.

arundel middle school is a great school with very few errors! take it from me, a former student of arundel middle that when you child walks in arundel middle they will be better suited for the future than most orher schools.

Arundel is a decent school. However, the teachers and admins are rather carefree of student behavior and some of the rules are downright unfair. Some teachers are great, but most have the major flaw of viewing this stint at AMS as a job and not as a career. They take out their frustration on the awkward preteens they are supposed to be nurturing

My two sons attend Arundel Middle School. The teachers I have met have been passionate and caring. Both of my children have IEPs and I truly feel the co-taught classes and teachers that support them are wonderful. They are getting a good education and seem happy to go to school. I know people who went to Arundel and now their kids go to Arundel. We are lucky.

I am about to enter arundel, and I have heard great things about the school, and that the rumors are untrue. But, I have also encountered complaints about it, about a couple of rude staff members and them not caring about complaints. But let's be real, there are going to be rude teachers at every school, and there is going to be strict staff members. I am very excited to enter the school district of arundel, I am sure I will have a great experience.

Arundel is a decent school. However, the teachers and admins are rather carefree of student behavior and some of the rules are downright unfair. Also, more so than usual, subs are rather ignorant of what the teachers they are filling in for actually do. Some teachers are great, but most have at least one major flaw. Assistant teachers also seem to be rather self-empowering and sometimes downright rude.
