Nature Hill is an amazing school with great kids. Most of the teachers are kind, fun, and are good at teaching kids, but there are a couple of teachers who can be on the stricter side. Nature Hill has lots of fun classes to choose from. For example, band, choir, art, Chinese, Spanish, coding, tech, etc. There aren't many bullying problems that occur, but there can be lots of drama and gossip (which leads to rumors). All in all, Nature Hill is a great school and you should totally enroll. - Current 7th grader (as of 2025)

There is a lot of bullying as well as racism and bigotry that is completely untreated by staff, although they see it. Discipline issues are through the roof- and although the teachers are trying their very best (great teachers, btw.) there’s really nothing that can be done from their perspective. GT enrichment for anyone outside of math needs serious work and attention. It could be such a good school with just a little more work.

The bullying at this school is pervasive and goes unaddressed. The staff act like they will provide support but never follow through. I cannot recommend this school less.

The teachers allow students to get away with completely direct racism, and have been allowing this for well over 10 years. Do not let those old reviews fool you. The lack of professionalism at this school is unmatched.

This is by far the best public school! The teachers are phenomenal, caring individuals that care about our children and their learning. The principle is a very well educated man, with a wonderful set of values which is why his staff is so awesome! We need teachers who care about education, teaching - who have compassion and who are kind and get set a great example for our children to follow. If this is what you are looking for, you have found it at Nature Hill. Improvements could be made to their special education procedures, follow through and communication of those procedures to the teachers and staff.

We moved to Nature Hill from a highly rated out of state school. My children love the staff, academics and after school activities. The PE class even offers snow shoeing in the winter on beautiful Nature Hill that is part of the school grounds. The music program is outstanding and the 5th grade band sounds like the 7th grade band in our old school. Foreign language is required starting in 5th grade which is awesome. Very involved and caring staff. Offers intervention for gifted children while still part of the classroom. We couldn't be happier with our decision to move to the Oconomowoc school district and specifically Nature Hill.
