Too much computer time teachers don’t teach and they don’t pay attention to grading. The teachers are unsupportive and dissociative . Kids are required to be online 8 hours of school time plus homework. This is the most debilitating school for upward mobility I’ve experienced.

Oceanside High School has prepared both of my daughters to be successful students in college as well as confident female leaders in their community. Oceanside has a very diverse student body and the teachers, athletic coaches, counselors, administrators, and security team have done an amazing job of getting to know as many students as possible on an individual basis. The academic pathways have created a vision for my daughters' future careers and life adventures.

Classes are not engaging for my child. This school is not safe. Teachers and staff give preferential treatment to athletes. It borders high crime rate neighborhoods and has had multiple incidences resulting in victims receiving serious injuries. Discipline is not consistent for students who have weapons on campus. I was told that these students "need to have knives on them for their own protection on their way home." This statement is unacceptable. School should be a safe place for all students.

My daughter is in her third year at OHS. She is in the Environmental Innovation Academy. All of the staff have been very knowledgable about the subject area being taught. The staff provide engaging activities and relevant field trip opportunities in our community. She plays three varsity sports and her teachers support her with making up missed work and instruction. The administration at OHS is amazing as well!

My daughter had a great experience at OHS. My daughter was part of the Academy of Justice and is now studying public policy and Law in college. She speaks about the kindness of her teachers still. She also had a great experience playing on the golf and water polo.

I've worked at this school for over 15 years and absolutley LOVE it! The students are amazingly caring and considerate. The staff is expereinced and motivated, embracing change. Many generations of families have been a part of the traditions at this school, and we are a strong family-oriented pilar of the community.

Excellent teachers and programs for students with diverse needs. Both of my children excelled here and went on to college/career well equipped. Teachers really care about the students and the staff is supportive.

It’s okay... Some teachers could be better with giving not as much homework not stop completely but less or explain the concept better

Extremely positive. I wouldn't trade it for a different school. My child is happy, successful, and enjoys this school. What else matters? And have you seen the ocean view from the quad???

We have been so pleasantly surprised with OHS! The teachers are committed to the students and go out of their way to offer amazing opportunities. The school spirit and pride is incredible, which makes for a sense of inclusion that is palpable on campus. OHS is not only developing scholars, but even more importantly they are building young adults with character, integrity, sensitivity, and cultural awareness.

My daughter went her for her 9 and some 10 and she hated everyday that she went! She would always want to got to school before and after she started Oceanside it was a struggle for her to go. I can't believe that this school could have had this many stars when I have had so many problems with it. It was so bad for her that our son refuses to attend this school when he goes to high school.

This school is great. The principle is excellent and makes a point to introduce himself to parents, students when he meets them at various events, meetings, etc. He shows a genuine interest in the students and this attitude has trickled over to his staff who also have shown an increase in interest for the students than in previous years. The principle shows up at sporting events, etc. to show support for his students and shows his staff appreciation for their involvement also. Unfortunately, OHS gets all the bad publicity when, in fact the other high school is the won that is involved in lunchtime riots, gang problems, lockdowns. The most important fact I'd like to share here is that my child thinks this school is fantastic, is very involved, and enjoys attending every day. This gives me a great feeling of pride for this school.
