The school does a great job with our children. Some teachers are more involved than others, but that’s to be expected in every school. The communication at the school and with the teachers is pretty good. The programs that the kids are allowed to be involved in are decent. I also believe that if parents would put more time into their children, their children would turn out better. The school is often blamed for a lot of family and or parenting issues that go unaddressed at home. The board members of the Oceanside School School District aren’t the greatest, This leads to a lot of the problems with the school leadership and things that do need to be fixed, but aren’t. When leader ship does nothing at the school district level, the teachers hands are tied. Some of the teachers with tenure, often get away with doing nothing. This is often very deflating for the students and ruins the motivation to learn.

The Lincoln staff is so dedicated to supporting students' academic and social development. I love the diversity of the Lincoln Middle School community. Lincoln Middle School has a very engaging STEM program that prepares students for high school and beyond.

Lincoln Middle School supports a very diverse school population. Teachers and staff are professional and maintain clear communication with parents and students. The school welcomes parents to participate in school functions and encourages them to be partners alongside their student's education.

My son is a 6th grader at Lincoln, and so far he loves it and is learning a lot. He especially likes Ms. Garrahy, Mr. Mateljan, Mr. Robydek, and Ms. Day. The classes are too big, but that's not the school's fault. My son feels safe and there is an emphasis on the kids' safety and a strong anti-bullying stance.

I just left an IEP meeting at Lincoln Middle School for my 8th grade son. His academics have always been a struggle because of his dyslexia. They were showing me his scores from the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test where he scored at an upper extreme level "gifted" in his cognitive abilities. The best part was the whole meeting's focus was, "We know how high his intelligence level is so now it's our job to make the modifications to help him stay engaged during lessons without having to focus so much on the writing to complete his assignments." They really seem like they are a team focussed on giving him the education he deserves and if it means teaching him in a different way they're up for the challenge. Feeling really good about Lincoln Middle School right about now!

Lincoln has a modernized campus and Mr. Bessant, the Principal is great! The school library is open before school, and at lunch. The librarian, Ms. Blaco was even opened during the summer! The counselors, Mrs. Lomelin and Mrs. De La Pena, are also great. They are very helpful and interested in student success. Mrs. Day, the music instructor, is very good and the students learn to play well, and enjoy the class time. The teachers are mostly dedicated, with one or two that may be more interested in retirement benefits than student success. Overall, Lincoln Middle School is a very good school in Oceanside, with a dedicated staff. Most parents and students will say that they like Lincoln. I sure do!
