Unless you are an overachiever, you get no guidance from any of the counselors. Teachers care more about their salaries than their students (highest paid in the state). Corruption in the city doesn't stop at the BoE, with many of the "established" families being favored at all levels.

Horrendous !!! Transferred after freshman year . Like I mentioned Google do your research the bullying racism and drugs . Again I will stress, “ It’s a family resort so everything is brushed under the rug do not expect any help you will be let down yet they will tell you sweet nothings just to get you out of their office

Nearly my entire family(father, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, myself) went to OCHS, graduated and went on to become very successful in life. Now my son is graduating, my daughter will be there in 2 years. College placement is extremely high, vast majority of graduating seniors attend some form of continued education. Mostly local University and Community college, but many go on to attend very prestigious Universities all over the world. The kids are pretty well behaved. The teachers are exceptional and caring. It is also one of the most wanted "CHOICE SCHOOLS", regularly having hundreds of Choice student applicants yearly. Athletics are incredible, garnering many, many state and South Jersey titles in numerous sports, both boys and girls. This years senior class has nearly 40 kids moving on to participate in athletics at college, nearly 15% of graduating seniors. Extracurricular activities are also incredible, many students attend college on Arts Scholarships, band, drama, art. It's a great place to live and a great place to have your children attend school. A rich, caring, learning, safe environment. Wouldn't think of sending my children anywhere else.

Ocean City High School is not a good school. Teachers pick favorites and will not help you succeed in your future if you are not their favorite. Other students are very cliquey. A lot of bullying and smoking and drinking. Students think that their teachers set them up to fail. Test scores very are not good. Most students that graduate go on to community college and don't leave and go off. If you send your child to OCHS they will either become depressed from bullying and trying to impress their peers or they will become bad, disrespectful, unintelligent students and get involved in drinking and smoking. Do not set them up for fail and choose a different school, it is not worth it.
